what the heck? there is a page limit to this forum? you're kidding right? I think mine will definitely pass that up by a long shot. As for your question about the slide out... I just want to know how exactly you made it lol i want to see how exactly it slides out. I see the bearings on the inside portion. but i didn't see what it glides on for the droor portion that slides out. and how do you keep it from sliding completely out?

No no...I meant sewing thread..lol. I ran out fixing my screw-up on the upper canvass pieces but I found some more that I think will work until I can order replacement thread.

OK, I will get you some pics today.

....1-I just want to know how exactly you made it lol i want to see how exactly it slides out.

3-......and how do you keep it from sliding completely out?

1 & 2....The drawer slides out on the bearings. The upper bearings keeps it from tipping out and the lower bearings are the ones it slides on. The "slide" part is basically just a square frame with 1' angle iron welded on so the extended "wing" is what slides on the bearings

3-I made a latch mechanism that allows a pin to fall into place to lock it in and from falling out. For a backup I also welded in a drop pin that hits that frame if the latch were to fail.

Once the slide is all that way out I rest it on this tab that I welded to the door. So the door also acts as a support for the slide out. Works really well. I added a pin to this part tonight to keep the slide from accidentally being knocked off the tab.

I will see if I can find a pic of the way to make cascading slides for use in tight spaces.

Oh man lol i feel silly now thinking this trailer "thread" had a page limit haha. oops

Thanks so much for this pix of how it all works. Your pictures and description are really going to help me make my own. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me. looks like im going to have to return my 0.5" square steel tube lol. I bought 3 sticks Hopefully they'll do an exchange for some 1" tube and just pay the difference. Are you using or 1/8th" thick tubing for the construction of this box slide out or 1/16"?

Well, I got a little more done to the trailer. I got the rain flys done but I have not had time to sew the reflective material on the bottom yet. That will have to be a project for another time. I'm getting to the point that I just want this thing done! lol. I should be able to go get a final weight on it this weekend and we are actually thinking about taking it out on it's first camping outing. Anyway here are some pics of the flys:
