Great work, Jeff!

I keep meaning to ask you about doing the TAT in a truck... Seeing that you've done the trail, how capable of a truck does one need to do it?

Thanks!!!

Actually it can be done in a capable stock 4wd with good tires. This is my goal with this truck... To be able to run the complete TAT. I know of one person that has run the entire thing in a Cherokee. He did it in sections over a 4 year span. I want to do it all at once.

So I got the new STT's mounted to a set of Isuzu Trooper wheels that a buddy gave me. I can't wait to try these out offroad! :smiley_drive:

This is what I built this truck for, long distance Expediton type offroading. Took it on it's first real trip this weekend, a 165 mile offroad camping trip through the Daniel Boone Forest. I't did great with no issues at all.

I typically try to go around mud holes like this but this one was unavoidable...

Jeff, This truck's looking GREAT!!!!! I've been MIA, Mt. Biking and Rafting all summer (I know, rough life aye ;) ) and I've been wondering how the truck is coming along. Glad to see you enjoying it. I'll have to read back through the thread to see what ultimately happened with the motor and what not. I know you were getting strung on for quite awhile so I'm glad to see the truck running/getting used.

Cheers

Dave

Got a chance to check out how waterproof this truck is yesterday in the Daniel Boone Forest, this is actually a road not a creek!

I installed an Odyssey PC2150 battery for all of those power robbing goodies! At 1150cca, it cranks the diesel over like it's a scooter! :Wow1:

Ok, so I picked up another one of these batteries for a super deal. Haven't decided if I should run a dual battery setup to run accessories for camping or not. I've done some reading on setting up dual batteries but the kits seem super expensive, like in the $300 to $400 range. If that's just the way it is I may just sell the battery.
