spent my morning inventing and Fab'ing my rear stabilizers.

Also picked up the steel for the last big thing to do my awning.

Got the stabilizers finished and in place. They extend about 20 inches total. have a ubolt attached for chain/strap to stop them splaying when in use.

Lookin' great Wavebreaker

As always, a couple of questions. Is the bottom door only held closed by the trim on the top door or is there some hidden latch somewhere? Also are you having a door seal of some kind?

I think I'm going to have to pm you to get some technical build tips if that's OK  Your quality of work is way above mine.

HB

PS - finally did a shake down run in mine the other day. Photos and final build posts to come.

Hey that's not fair!!! You can't hold out great technical porn from the rest of us!

Wavebreaker-- what is the recess on the right side in the lower tailgate section? Does that countertop extension slide in?

************ Work!!!

Seeing the quality of work and the style of your "woodie" trailer, I think I have finally found a trailer I can call "sexy!":Wow1::drool:

First Thanks for the compliments guys.
Heifer: Yes that trim piece holds the lower door shut. The trim piece overlaps the edge of lower by about 1/4 inch . no way it can open with out upper opening first. Door seals to follow now doors are mounted. Plus i am going to use a positive air flow system to make sure dust stays out. You can PM anytime.

Colby: Can you say OOPS!! I goofed when doing my main counter and rather than rebuild counter i cut a recess in the door to clear the bottom edge of the drop down in the counter. Always glad to share Techno Porn :)

Matt : Thanks :)

So was a nice day here in Vic took advantage and pulled the trailer out to do some measurements with the RTT set up.
Looks good behind the jeep Sits pretty much where it should once the hitch is on.

Trailer is a little higher overall than what i was shooting for but still looks good. Huge step forward for me mentally.
Finally gives a size comparison versus pics taken in the shed. Really need to get a black cover for the RTT tho the gray clashes. :Wow1:

Anyway here's the pics from today.

Nice job, I choose to attached my rear stablizers also to the trailer. If I attach a ubolt or weld some bracket directly under the receiver hitch for a ratchet to attach to, the levelers may be operated indepently for leveling the trailer with out the need for blocks. The trailer is farely light and easy to raise.

I was thinking along the same lines even have the eye-bolt for it.

Thanks Indie :)

WaveBreaker, It came out great, love seeing others showing that Tent Topped plywood trailer boxes are a great way to go. If you get down close to Salem, OR ever with it let me know, love to check it out in person.
