You'll never look back! It will be great to hear how you use it in the field. I'm on my 4th Mac laptop since 1993, the most recent one being similar to yours. To delete files like on the PC, using the delete key, press command + delete. As far as multibutton mice go, you can use any PC USB mouse on the Mac. Then configure the buttons under System Preferences. I really enjoy working with my mighty mouse. But it can take some getting used to the default settings. If you squeeze the mouse, it acts as a third click...
For the portables, there's an utility called Sidetrack allows right clicking.
