The 18” wheels come on multiple engines the problem is LRNA.
How so?

The diesels in other countries get the 18” wheels. LRNA won’t import the diesels. So there’s at least two engine options in the UK that fit 18’s. You can only get the P400 on the X.How so?
Definitely. Sharp looking truck! The 18" alloys look pretty damn good on a white truck. Should help my ongoing battle with brake dust.

Yep seems more genuine than I thought after seeing that video.^ if that's not a sign that it's a proper Defender, I don't know what is

Land Rover Defender + Honda Element Mashup Is So Wrong, It’s Right
A perfect front end swap....
The team over at car front swaps has made their mark on the new Land Rover Defender grafting the front end of the Honda Element on to the front of the Defender. The results are surprisingly cohesive which is probably not something Defender fans want to hear right now. But there’s no denying that the front end of the Honda Element looks right at home on the Land Rover Defender matching the rest of the design seamlessly..........."
I actually can't argue with that one. But the one thing I always said the Element lacked was off-road capability, and it would have been almost perfect. Now you can get an Element that will go everywhere a stock Rubicon can go!That is hilarious!!!! Every time my wife sees a Honda Element she says look it's a Defender.
I find it hard to believe this clip that is burnt on the 4cyl engine never had an issue in all the testing done by LR. Do the prototype vehicles get assembled in a different manner (more slowly, in a different location, only by the top-level workers, etc)? It just seems like something that would have occured in the inital testing phases....

This would only be true if many of them have this problem. If this one is the only one, or one of a statistical few, then it's a QA escape not a design issue. I suspect this will be the case.I had the same thought. They either did not test the production configuration or materials, or production/assembly yielded a configuration different than what was tested.
