Application for 88" Series Trucks?

Hi,

Great looking racks-especially the RTT ones! Will you be producing shorter versions for us 88" Series owners? I can take and send measurements if you like.

Thanks,

BB

Since we're all picking on his website, it might be worthwhile to note that many image hosting sites (ie: photobucket) are blocked by company firewalls. I can't see the pics posted in this thread from work (public education).

I am not picking on the site....just offering what I hope is constructive feedback. I ordered an EXPO RTT rack from Jesus the same day Sergio started the thread. The service has been great. I own a 04 Disco II with the larger diameter roof bars. Jesus called me to confirm dimensions and assure me that they have accounted for the larger bars in their design. I will post pics as soon as I get the rack.

I noticed in this thread somone mentioning they might remove the Baja Logo........thinking it did not seem Roverish enough(my words not his). I plan to leave the Logo in place because I like it and also out of respect for the craftsman that designed and built the rack. Running a company is hard especially serving such a niche market.

Great customer service is so rare.........I want to do all I can to support it when I find it, so my Disco will wear the Baja Logo proudly. That is asuming the rack fits Jesus .............in case you are following this thread. :)

Measure what you're looking for and let us know. We're finding that the FJ Cruiser rack is our "go to" rack when we are fitting a vehicle for which BajaRack doesn't currently make a custom rack. It is ideal in that it's perfectly flat on the bottom which allows it to be easily adapted to many different applications.

Bishop, yes the ladder clamps top/bottom and the retail price is $220.00, it's a very solid fit and is rated at 300lb.

New rack design looks nice!

Hey Sergio,

The new rack looks nice. The cut-outs for the roof rails is a great idea. I've been getting a lot of use from my Baja Rack. It's definitely light and strong, no need for additional flooring material. Attached are a few pictures showing the rack in action.

Anyone come across a Coupon Code to plug in their site upon checkout? If not, perhaps Baja might like to offer one for forum users? ;)

Good point,

The first stage of our test is weight capacity, that is done applying a specific mass with certain weight on top of the rack, at this point is not mounted on any vehicle. Second is the wind noise and stability of the rack under highway and off-road conditions with no accessories, this is the test we were performing on the Mercedes G-Wagen rack.

Cheers
