It looks like getting the battery to a full charge then reinstalling in the PPP did the trick. Ran for two solid days with only minor top off from the truck and the indicator didn't budge from 100%.
This included lots of opening and closing to add and retrieve food and beverages while Team USA politely knocked the stuffing out of the Netherlands at Int'l Polo.
