Ya he does, I actually just posted it for sale last night for him. Since that Moab trip my mom has then decided she wanted to take part and explore with him. So they needed some extra room and went with that bigfoot truck camper. You going down again this year?

A little update and sneak peak. I've put in some long hours, prob more than the 4x4 conversion but i think it's all been worth it. There were a few things that bothered me "cosmetically" that i wanted to take care of. The original decals were cracked and pealing, there were lots of hairline cosmetic gelcoat cracks, the blinds were loud flapping metal ones, and have always wanted to do a mirror conversion, rear springs/lift never matched up to the front lift and have been using air bags to cover the extra 2" to level the unit at max PSI, not the best by all means. etc.

So took an eraser wheel and removed all the original decals, gridded out every gelcoat crack, repaired and sanded the entire coach smooth. Even though the repair was smooth you could still see visually where the repair was made so i knew i either had to repaint the entire coach or wrap it. Wraps are very durable and cost effective compared to a repaint and then to paint a design on. Another reason I settled on a wrap is that this unit is stored in a heated shop everyday of its life except for the trips we go on, so the wrap will last very long time for me. I sent my brother some ideas to put together a design and i love what he came up with. A combination of new mixed in with a little original "old". The old mirrors would flip around in the wind, so i replaced them with newer modern Velvac mirrors, painted to match. I also ordered new Day/Night shades, they look and work fantastic. Also had new rear springs built so now the air bags are just helpers if i'm ever towing. Handles amazing with the reduced top end sway back and forth.

Lots of other little details but i think its really changed it and modernized it.

I will get other pics as soon as i get out and put it to use.

Went back to the beginning (in a new tab) for a side-by-side shot of old and new but no pics in this thread till page 6 now...
when I did the side-by-side all I thought was DANG that looks good! Have always liked this rig but getting all that cursive writing off the side made a HUGE improvement. Looks way cool. Ditching that stereotypical aluminum extrusion RV rear bumper for a steel square tube one painted to match would really modernize things with radiused corners and gain some protection if you went 6"x4" (6 on the horizontal so it stuck out 2") and still house your sewer hose (assuming you use that bumper like most other RVs). Sweet work on the graphics and especially the mirrors.

Great idea on the rear bumper, i've been giving that thought for some time now. Right now the spare tire holder is flush with current bumper, hard to see in that picture. But could probably just notch out the 6" to hug the spare tire rack instead of cutting it off and relocating it. Thanks for the input, i def need to do something with that.

Would love some input on a front bumper, been thinking about trying Herd out, obviously without the sirens and emergency lights. But would have a winch mount and front fairlead opening. Aluminess, & Buckstop/Trailready are the others i'm looking at. I was just thinking that maybe the herd would be something different, also made in Canada since out dollar is quite down right now and thought it would mix well with the alloy wheels and other brighter items on the RV. A little to late to go the blacked out look, but Aluminess's almost always look good. Thoughts?

Installed Gatorback heavy duty mud flaps front and rear. I put these on my Sportsmobile and really they protected the body and my starcool AC fans that was right behind the front tire. We spend as much time as possible on gravel roads so these should really help protect the fibreglass.
