yep, I had heard about the tires blowing. so right after I got it home, I change tires, since you can't get parts easily enough to make repairs after a tire blows.New shoes!

If memory serves me. the guys at the tire shop had a hell of a time getting the spare tire off after removing the bolts. part of the stud knurling was sticking out of the plate and going into the alum rim hole. we added a washer or 2, to space out the rim so that didn't happen again. So this week, I’m getting new tires put on. It’s also supposed to snow this week so instead of picking up the trailer and taking it over there, but decided just to pull the wheels off and take the tires over.
The road wheels came off piece of cake no issues.
I got the spare tire wheel off, holy pain in the ass I don't know what they put that thing on with, but if I had a flat, I would never have gotten it off.
I had to use a breaker bar because my storage unit I keep my trailer in. I was too close to the back wall for the impact gun. I was hanging off of the breaker bar and it wasn't budging. I had to use the jack handle as a lever on it brace against the bumper and pull it down to get it to come off.
Levitating trailer lol.
New shoes will be on Friday.
You could use a small electric room heater set on the lowest setting, but that will still draw a lot of juice, and would necessitate keeping your trailer plugged in. I might try a dehumidifier rod like I use in my gun safe. I think it might draw a lot less amps. We haven't had much of a winter here this year, and I just did the switch myself a couple weeks ago. But for next year, I'll try the dehumidifier rod. Along with that, I'm considering a foam "insert" that would go on the outside on top of the right side tire & against the inner fender well (batteries are just on the other side), that, along with the seat down, should keep the battery compartment a little easier to heat. Just a few thoughts.ok well after several hours of heating up the trailer with a buddy heater... they sprang back to life... and are charging again ... phew!
Seems like I need to devise a system to keep that battery compartment warm on the cold nights.... any ideas?
