Well NewYear's Day was a bust. We headed up the pass this morning but right after breakfast I got pretty sick so about half way up the pass I called it and headed home so no much testing with the Hankook's, except I did pull off where all of the snow-mobiles were unloading and all the way back in and back to the road on compact snow and ice where the plows had been (about 1' deep solid) I was in 2 wheel drive at 50psi and I had full traction so things are looking up for the Hankooks.

With the weight of the runner at 4880lbs minus the driver the load "E" tires need more air to be right. A P series tire would be good at 35psi but these at 35psi look like I'm aired down for a trail.

They ride about as stiff as my 255' Maxxis did so not horrible, but not cadilac either :)

Would it be possible to say your process and color again of how you painted the emblems? What brand paint did you use? They look amazing. Cheers ian

They were chrome to begin with, I removed all of the rear ones since they were stick on's but the center Toy emblem had holes and the front grille one is held on by two screws on the back so you can remove it to paint. I scuffed them up with some heavier grit steel wool (sandpaper would be better) primed with some sandable primer and then used the "Graphite wheel paint" from Duplicolor. You could probably use regular graphite paint I just had some lying around and holds up decent to rock chips on the front grille.

Well Sven what can I say??? THAT TRUCK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! you and I convo'd over the Badlands bumper and I think now that things are going a bit better for me I'm def. going with one. I was REALLY wanting an ARB, but I've got a Marlin Rear and the Badlands looks like a bar-work version of an ARB of sorts, I LOVE they way your looks.

Such a beauty of a truck.

Cheers

So did you get steel wheels? Is there an increase in fuel mileage? Let's see some data!

Haven't done anything with the wheels, probably just run the 5 spokes for awhile. Haven't had it out enough to get total mpg's yet but I did check on a 3/4 tank fill up with half highway and half street and looks like I'm sitting at about 15mpg average which is up from about 13mpg. That is going back to 265's and capping the deckplate. I won't know until I do a few tanks but looks like come the summer blend of gas I should be right about where most other runner guys are at 17-18mpg's. I'm getting pretty good of staying out of the gas and a good increase (but goes against everything) is hitting the cruise at 60-65 instead of 70mph helps keep the needle from moving so fast :sombrero:

A side not that may help, disconnect the - terminal for 5 minutes to reset the computer. You should do this any time you change anything so it can learn the setting so to speak. I wonder why your mileage is so bad, I'm at 16 flat armored, geared, and running the 295's. The SC with stock setup should be netting you closer to 20 from my research.
