on the road again

Talk about ironic
so far weve driven down the east coast, accross the bottom, up to darwin and back again, thousands of kilometers of ******tty rough dirt roads and never suffered one puncture
in fact the only time ive touched the tyres is to check the pressure
so today we have to go into town
decided to cach the train instead of drive, save the environment, hug a tree and all that
so we get off the train to find the truck on a strange angle, bloody nail in the front right tyre
after 60,000 K's I come to grief in of all places - a car park ???
not impressed.

A sad day
spent the weekend moving into a house
the van now lies empty and deserted
and today was sold
the dream comes to an end
for me anyway, the bloke that bought the van is heading to Darwin next week
raise a glass (or a can of yellow) to a good old bus that served me well

Holy crap that made me shed a tear!! That would be one of the most depressing things to go through for me, best thing is to start a new project for sure!

So now im somewhat cashed up the decision is what to buy
I have to spend dollars fast, if I don't the dragon will start buying stuff for the house ( a waste of money)
now I know this is a truck forum but seeing as you guys are the only ones who's opinion I value (read the only ones who'll talk to me)
but the question is
Honda ST1300
or
Triumph Trophy 1200

with the change there could be room for some blingy wheels and springs

My only experience with Triumphs has been mopping up the oil puddles left under them. Mind you... these were older Triumphs; they may have got better since then.
I have been a Honda guy for many, many years, so getting an unbiased assessment from me in this matter would be next to impossible.
