So many great pics and ideas in this thread... long time lurker here, but here's my rig. 98 4L, 5 speed, on 33's. Dana 44 in the rear, ARB's front and rear. Iron Rock 6.5" long arms in the front, combination extended shackle and OME leaves in the rear, steering conversion, bumpers, Warn 9500. Its a good wheeler but I'd like to find time to do some more extended-trip related upgrades.

The pic was taken after a serious beating, she was rode hard and put away wet that day. Cheers.

Bought it about 7 years ago, 3rd owner, immaculate shape, now has 188xxx on it. Has moved us numerous times and taken us on numerous adventures, all on road though. Now we will begin with the offroad DD phase.

Just got back from a quick 5 day 1700km road trip from Victoria into Washington and partially down the Oregon coast. Still loving the jeep reliability.

Agreed.

At 15 years old, my 2000 is as reliable as they day I got it some 60,000 KM ago. Never lets me down, and so far I have done nothing but maintenance to it.

Going to add a leaf to my 3" packs and just wondering if there will be a crazy rake if I go 2 inches higher. Also it's going to cost $550 for a shop to do it. Is that crazy or normal price?

That price sounds really high for just an add a leaf. You could buy the tools and do the job yourself for much less. There are lots of "how to" videos for the add a leaf on the internet.

I did an add a leaf to my XJ for the lift and it took me all of about a half hour. Just make sure you have new center pins and u bolts along with the leaf clamp.

I thought it sounded a bit high. I am going to try the rubicon express shackles and see if that helps. The only reason I wanted to add a leaf is because of my dirtbike carrier.
