OVRLND CAMPERS ONLY : Post your OVRLND Camper build here or a link to your build thread to inspire others!

I started with 35 lb struts (the strongest OVRLND had at the time I bought the camper), then I switched to 45 lb struts when I added solar and a couple of Maxtrax to the roof. I recently put 65lb struts on the back when I added two more Maxtrax. I kept 45 lb struts on the front. It works perfectly for me.
This is good information. Thanks so much!

I have gas struts on our pop-top.
They are 700Nm (157Lbs Force), whch is more than they need to be. They are also longer than they need to be. The actual mechanical advantage can be adjusted by adjusting the angle. There are multiple attachment points at the bottom end of each gas strut to allow for this.
The pop-top is easily put up or brought down from inside. The longer-than-necessary struts keep the fabric tight when it is up.
If I add some weight to the top, I simply move the lower attachment point to compensate.

Finishing up my build on our “Bread and Butter” OVRLND camper. It’s sits on a 2001 F350. The framing for the build out is welded steel tubing paneled in HDPE. Walls are insulated with an 3m product and paneled in “bubble X.” 400w of solar and a lithium batt to power a water pump, 12v fridge, vent fan, diesel heater, and some 12v and USB outlets.

Looks really good. Curious what this stuff is on the upper rails. I know many have said that area is hard to cover as the bed comes in contact with it when deploying. So curious what you used.

Looking great. Just curious when you placed your order? Also what diesel heater port is that? Only one I’ve ever seen was more of a round outlet with a plug in it. Thanks. Love the white with black trim.
October 11th. Found the diesel heater port on Etsy from a company call 603DPrinting. Jay and the team were cool with installing it after I sent them the link with a few photos.

Awesome. I actually just bought that same one but asked him to make some updates to it so I think he’s working with me on that. I plan on putting a double 45a Anderson connector on one side and then a starlink port on the other outlet side. Should be perfect for what I want to do.

It’s just 1” thick Owen’s Corning foam insulation board with fabric glued to it and friction fit in those voids, no interference with the bed sliding out.
