All nice photos, you get a reall good sense of place with panos I think.

What stitching programs do people use? I'm a big PTgui fan but there are others.

And what about hardware, any expensive pano mounts ro rotate around the lens nodal point? I use a DIY mount for close stuff but often just hand hold for scenics.

I just used photostich that came with my Canon DSLR. Used LR5 to edit the colors and make them all the same. Just shot it all handheld. did several like that including a nice one of Engineer pass

Sebas, I really like that series.

As far as equipment, it depends on what type of shutter settings I am working with as to hand held or using a ball head with a longer Arca Swiss style plate and incremental rotating adjustments. Software is always Photoshop for the stitch although i hear good things about some of the other products so I may try some of those as well.

PS used to be total crap for stitching (a few years ago, can't remember which version), I tried a few others and none of them worked either (once again a few years ago) until I found PTGui, it's free and works a treat.

I'm sure the others work fine not too, but when you have a working setup there's no need to change.

Here's a shot of the Owyhee Desert during the High Desert Off Road Turkey Run. The full size image is 21000x3000 and when you zoom in to the right of the bluff you can see about 20 Jeeps.

Blackdawg, you really need to stop boring us with these photos. Go somewhere scenic for a change, will you?

LOL :)
