Phil's Adventure Tacoma

Second chore this week was relocating the license plate light with the LiteDOT Plate Light with disconnectable harness. Thanks TACODOC for posting the link up. https://secure48.mysecureorder.net/...d=224&osCsid=e5c289a81db2b96dcb355233e526111f

I really like the LED and the extra brake light.

Bumpers look GREAT!

What are the options for replacing the fogs? Will you be able to plug the new fogs directly into the OEM wiring?

FYI- I just bashed my All-Pro skid on a rock this morning... not my normal little "love tap" but a full-weight-of-front-end-on-pointy-rock type thing. I'm pretty sure it would've crushed the factory skid and possibly damaged something important. Only left a dent in the AP skid. So far I'm happy with the quality.

Yeah I will be able to use the OEM wiring. We might have to make a few modifications to the wiring, but there will be no rewiring. I have just started to look for fog lights. I never realized how expensive they are:rolleyes:

That's good to know about the skid plate. It looks as tough as nails. I am just waiting for the other skid plate to come now.

Thiefs!!!!!!!

That's it! I am so tired of this area. How can a state with so much beauty have so many concentrated crime problems. So I brought the truck from the shop to our apartment to start getting stuff ready for the trip. What happened in those few hours? My truck was picked over. Now mind you everything on the outside of the truck is locked down. Those Wedco Jerry Cans are not cheap at all. I am so tired of this. I was in the middle of working on my truck for crying out loud. This is the 4th time I have called the police since November.

That's real unfortunate. Sorry to hear. :(

Where are they coming from, Eugene or are they local? I have a cousin going to school in Eugene and IIRC she had a problem with someone braking into her apt. or maybe it was her car. Why is it so prone to thievery?

I know you shouldn't have to, but maybe to help you could switch to grade 8 bolts for everything and fab brackets out of AR (abrasive resistant) steel.

It's a pain to cut through that stuff.

That was no random job, IMO someone is watching your truck and waiting...

That just can't be a coincidence that you "just went inside for 10 minutes" and BAM!

No way. That was done by more than one person either with a vehicle to put all that in OR they are very near you... and took the stuff there.

Nobody runs very far with a box, a shovel, 2 jerry cans AND a Hi-Lift!

Damn tweekers! :smilies27

I also somewhat had that feeling.

Maybe leave a box full of scrap out next to your truck and run into the house and watch. :ar15:

Yeah, I would take the kayaks and anything else easily removed into the house for the night and then quietly watch...

Too bad you cant connect the sheetmetal on the truck to 110V shore power somehow... then just go outside when the circuit breaker in the house trips ;)

Remove shore power... and dial 911.

Completely unacceptable! I've sorry to hear that. Perhaps it's time to chain a pit bull to your front and rear bumpers for added security while parked! :violent-smiley-031: I hope the catch them and recover your stuff.

That is what I am thinking. I am going to keep my eye out. I know where the tweekers sleep. I am going to go down the road in the morning and check under there home (the bridge from Springfield to Glenwood).
