Yes, those are them.

Anyways, I should be getting into the garage this coming weekend to tweak the bumper a little and add some other little things to the truck. I'm taking a few small insperations from TACODOC and throwing them on my rig.

Alright, I spent some time out in the rain and did some work on my truck.

I have been trying to figure out the best way to rig up a license plate light. This solution was the quickest and easiest for the amount of time I had. When I swing out the swing out portion it just pulls out of the connector. Then just easily plugs back in. This will not last forever, but it will do for now until I try another more permanent approach. The light itself I bought from Jcwhitney, it attaches via the license plate bracket.

I added a few little safety features in the cab. I myself have seen several cars leave the road into deep water. I nice little cheap addition to the cab. It makes my fiancée feel better too. This is a hammer for the window. Tried it on a piece of junk glass and it works like a charm.

Here is an addition taken from other builds. I could not resit the urge to steal that idea, but with my own twist.

Next I added a Co2 tank, the air fittings can still all be put in the side storage. There is just enough room to open and close it now thankfully.

Mounted an ammo can for my recovery gear.

Wedco gas can.

Also my almost new storage box from Craigslist.

Great looking additions to the truck. A suggestion, I'd heat shrink that plate light connection since it is exposed.

That tall skinny ammo can is cool. A great use of the space. :26_7_2:

Nice, I like the new tool chest. I have a Kobalt chest from Lowe's and am able to put Jerry cans on either side w/o movement, or water cans or a mix. They do allow for more variability than running an over the rail box solution. I hadn't thought of a large skinny ammo can; looks like a perfect place for a tow strap!

Nice job on box organization. What type/size of ammo box is that (i.e. .50 cal, .30 cal, etc...).

I'm working/brainstorming on various bed configurations.

Cheers,
P

I will take a look today and let you know. I did paint the sides of it, but if I recal there is still wording somewhere on it. If not then I will measure it for you. It's the perfect height for my truck. I bought it from the local surplus store.

I believe the ammo can is for 60MM

The size of the ammo can is 11 inches length x 6 inches wide x 16 1/4 inches height.

I am able to fit all my hi-lift accessories in it and recovery straps.

that can definitely looks like a mortar can as stated above (60mm). I might have a few of those here next week.

Be prepared for disappointment. "Junk glass" was easy to break probably because it already had structural defects in it. Even safety glass is difficult to break when it is reinforced on all sides by the seals. My buddy couldn't smash his way out of a WRX with steel-toed boots or the aluminum back of a knife. I have since researched it to find out that the strike must be placed near a corner of the window rather than the center, and that a sharpish, hard object should be used. Those window-breaking hammers are useless if not used properly: you can reportedly hit a window dead center with a maul and not be successful, but a well-placed spring-loaded center punch is a winner.
