i must add, being an ex-fj40 and ex-TACO guy...driving up into nowhere and having a rest-room, kitchen, and bed along with you is well...a little slice of heaven!

Do you have some info to share on this area? Looks like somewhere I would love to check out!

Took the chevy on some dirt roads in the great smoky mountains the past few days. We made the 1060 mile round trip, mainly to take the younger ones on the Polar Express train ride, but some free time, led way to some off pavement adventures. Nothing too extreme, but plenty of good views and some good passenger scares LOL. For the trip since we had 9 people going I went ahead and installed the final row of seating that chevy doesn't install in the AWD vans.

Very nice!

Need more details!

Went and stayed on the Cle Elum River up past Salmon La Sac, Wa this weekend!

We were up there, too. Camped here on the river with a 2wd RoadTrek type Dodge, and a stock Explorer. Took my van up Fortune Creek and Van Epps.

A couple days prior, we were on Vancouver Island with Railvan (who else?)

It was dark when we finally found the trailhead to Francis Lake. Sweet but too short light 4wd trail leads to the rocky shore. So, of course Railvan got out his tripod and camera and went to work.

This was our first "long" trip and the SMB performed flawlessly.

2012 Chevy Express 1500 LT AWD

No mods as of yet except for invisible body armour to front. Plan on adding a 1" body lift to accomodate larger tires, roof rack, and possibly either a push bar or a brush guard and some extra lights. Speaking of body lift any one know the best way to pull this off?

thanks
