Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Nice!!
Is the Ambo up and fully functioning with the 4x4 conversion??

What is the truck in the middle??

Its almost done with the 4x4 conversion, I have a few simple things to wrap up. I need to rewire it and have been waiting on parts. Finally have what I need and hope to finish it up this weekend with the electrical. Also need to push the rear axle about 2" towards the rear to make a factory length F-250 driveshaft fit.

The truck in the middle is my "unicorn". Its a 1980 GMC C7000 medium duty truck. Has an original Napco 4x4 conversion. 366/427 big block, 5 speed manual, gear vendors overdrive. Only "20,000 original miles" according to the odometer. Its very clean for its age. Its just a big, dumb, fun truck :) Oh just a fun fact, the tires are over 42" tall. I'm 5'8 and standing infront of it, the GMC badge in the middle of the grill is eye level with me. Its BIG! Maybe next year I'll swap a screamin' 2 cycle Detroit Diesel into it.

Why wouldn't you just get the Drive shaft fixed - way easier and cheap?

I want to push back the axle as its just a little off in the wheel well. I'll use a slotted u-bolt top mount and a offset leaf spring pin plate.
The almost 2" that I can gain from this will help center the wheel in the wheelwell & give me about 1.5" gap on the driveshaft slip yoke, currently I'm bottomed out on the splines.

I like how Aluminess mounts the awning on the rack...no more body cracks or areas prone to rusting on the van itself. Looks great!

Here's a pano from the hillclimb up to Sequoia NP.
We plan on visiting Sequoia either this fall or winter in our van. Any suggestions? Our van is a 2 wheel drive E150 with 2 folding platform beds that sleep 4.

Recently picked up a 2003 4x4 Pleasure way traverse. I took off the fiberglass running boards and put new shoes on her. Some more slight mods planned in the future. Too excited to have my first camper!
That is awesome!
I have the same colour traverse is a 2002 2wd model. I also made those reflected window covers. I had been thinking about 4x4 conversion , know I know exactly what it would look like.
How does it drive? How much lift tire size etc
So far on mine I have added k&N air filter wifi obd2 adapter for dash command app.
I have also installed built in usb ports and installed led strip lights in all the cabinetry and cubby storage areas. I also put a wifi controlled RGB+white led strip under my counter lip. It does all kinds of different effects including music sync controlled though iPhone app.

Here's mine, 2007 AWD Express passenger with a CCV penthouse. Not much in the way of an interior build-out yet but that will change.

I've seen that van before: in my "thought bubble" when fantisizing about what my near future wheelchair van could be: a high top for wheel chair maneuverability, and also pop top for the kiddos to sleep in.

Please post link to your build thread should you have one.

RAD! go swimming in Paradise Falls. camp at redwood meadow. we only did a quick weekend, but those both proved to be amazing. redwood is right across the street from a great tree viewing hike loop.

heres the paradise flats instructions:
This easy one-mile round-trip hike leaves from the east side of Buckeye Flats Campground near site 28. The catch: There is no day parking at the trailhead. Therefore, those not camping at Buckeye Flats, will have hike in from Hospital Rock, adding 1.2 miles to the round-trip distance. This creates a real incentive to stay at Buckeye Flats, but one wonders why the parks would omit this courtesy.
To get to the trailhead: From Southern California, take the 5 North to the 99 North. After 96 miles, take the 198 East toward Visalia. The 198 leads right to the park, where it becomes the Generals Highway. An entrance fee is charged to access the park. Six miles into the park, turn right at Hospital Rock, and head east 0.6 miles on a narrow paved road to Buckeye Flats Campground.

Trailhead address: Generals Highway (California 198), Sequoia National Park, CA 93262
Trailhead coordinates: 36.521846, -118.76352 (36° 31′ 18.64″N 118° 45′ 48.67″W)

First post on Expo, long time browser. Recently upgraded from a '95 AWD Astro with 200k miles to this 97 AWD conversion with 100k miles. Add some LT tires, roof storage, new carpet and padding inside (original was nasty), stripped the body kit, Bluetooth deck and it's ready for adventures! Primarily weekend mountain bike and ski trips. More interior build-up in time.
