by the looks of it, you'd have to pull the snorkel off before popping the hood. that alone is the deal breaker . . . .

Once a month I travel over to the local Land Rover dealership......

A fun rig for sure but just a bit irritating. Apparently any clown in a Cayenne can obtain a snorkel, but I can't get one for my Tacoma?!
I will now light myself on fire...

I didn't read page 2 or 3 so maybe somebody already posted it but.....

A Taco is a USA spec truck. Not to many other places besides the USA they are sold. Most snorkels are made in Australia for cars in Australia. Some more made in Europe for cars sold in Europe. I am sure a Taco snorkel will come out for the new gen Taco if it already hasn't.

But when in doubt build your own! Not very hard to do really....stainless steel looks very good for a snorkel. So does a variety of powder coating. I watched a video last night of a guy who built his snorkel to handle a roll over, he built it from chrome moly! So just use your imagination and make it happen. Or you can sit around and wait for a plastic one and let your belly ache.

They actually off road quite well, if I had a more aggressive tire it would run circles around my disco. I'm just waiting to turn it into a project car, mine has steel suspension, which means permanent lift, as well as center, and rear lockers and low range.

That being said, I've never had the balls to take it on anything tooo technical.

I remember years ago when I first moved to Phoenix going into a little CB shop on 32nd street between greenway and bell road. I became friends with Allen Travis (the owner) very fast and he pulled out a photo album and asked if I wanted to see a picture of his sand rail... I started flipping through pages seeing picture after picture of beautiful tube chassis rigs that looked like they should be racing in the baja1000! He kept saying in a calm voice that's not mine, that's not mine... the next few pages were of a 1996 Porsche C4s with the front wheels off the ground over the top of a dune! then another of the same car doing a water crossing! the stuff that guy did with that car makes me believe that Porsche would make a great great OHV!

Allen from Bronco1 is a really cool guy. One of my friends dad and him are best friends. That Porsche has been all over the dunes. All wheel drive with front and rear lockers.
