Sure, Daveyd, those are nice and all, with perfect lighting, incredibly sharp focus, brilliant color, great composition, and intriguing subject matter, but can you show any kind of diversity?

LOL nicely done!

The first grade class at my daughter's school had a "rodeo" last week.

awesome. you pull off that sepia tone so well!

Thanks. I've been trying to keep it consistent to be "my style". I've actually had two wedding planners in recent months contact me to do work for them with cowboy/country themed weddings... They like my "style" because its a lot different than the local photogs, apparently. Too bad my schedule barely allows 10 minutes a week to work on my trucks.... much less make some money with the camera...

From my best friends wedding last Friday. I have to admit, I kind of cheated in that the backlighting isn't actually my flash. They had hired a professional photographer who brought along an assistant and slave flashes, which as I learned were strobe fired. As soon as I figured that out I stopped shooting so as not to be using HIS flashes, but after a while I also realized that every single person in the room who took a picture set off his flashes, even with $50 Wal Fart cameras, so I just continued to stay away from his so as not to step on his toes any, but took advantage of the lighting at hand...

I talked to the guy briefly and he indicated he didn't mind that I was setting off his flashes, but I still felt a little bad. I guess there isn't any way around that other than my simply not using any flash at all? Taught me a great lesson on lighting in the process though, I really haven't played with flash (budget doesn't allow for it yet) but I was really pleased with the lighting his setup produced!

Nice shots :)

I still shoot about 20 weddings a year and use off camera lighting
every pro I know uses radio slaves :)
