Once we get the clutch adjusted, and the brakes firmed up, the wife will think its nice too, been far too long in the garage..

fooling around with the Canon DSLR this afternoon in the back yard - the 1967 SWB 88 is disassembled in the basement so it couldn't join the photo session

Where in the world did you find a broke down 109 in woods to take a photo with?

I've got two Land Rovers, a 1996 Discovery TDI and a 2011 Defender 110.

Here are a few photos from our previous trips in the outback.

First our Discovery.

After a few trips we realised that we need something with a bit more carrying capacity for extended trips, so we bought a Defender.

Even that was not good enough for really long trips, so we decided to build a Unimog - that has turned out to be a very long process.

Currently setting up the Land Rover for an extended trip across Australia because the Unimog is still not ready.

When we get back the plan is to finsih the Unimog for an even longer trip around the world

Ouray/ Silverton, Co. Trip

The wife, boy, and I spent last week in the Ouray/ Silverton, Co. area, and thought we'd share some of the trip here.

The little guy taking his first walk down a creek on his own.

Between Silverton & Durango, an old shelf road (what's left of it) that was part of the original Hwy 550

A lilly pond at about 9,300'

Above treeline on an old mining trail on the Red Mountains, just South of Ouray.

The little guy's boots drying at the end of the day. Just really liked this picture.
