I know this is a tent review thread and not a give me advice on which tent to buy thread, but I have to ask anyways.

I have a Kelty Acadia 4 which is really great, but while camping it's usually just me. Can anyone recommend a decent 2-man tent in the $200-$250 range? 3 season is all I'm looking for.

I´ve used this tent when i was in Tanzania, Serengeti national park.

Didnt feel to safe when lions roaring woke my up in the middle of the night

Then we had this tent on a trip driving around Iceland last summer.

And that RTT i really liked.

I never hesitate to buy Eureka. My recommendation would be based on what you're doing with it. If you're ever camping where sand is blowing, or ever have a chance of snow, the 2XT or 3XT would fit the bill. For Summer camping where ventilation is more important, the Midori looks nice. I haven't used the Midori, but I've had my old 2XTA for over 15 years.

Hehe it was a campingground with markings for where the tents should stand, i was there during the low season so it was only two more tents.

I know we're not supposed to support REI and all, but their Half Dome tent is very highly regarded at a reasonable price.
For my own tents I have a Big Agnes Copper Spur for backpacking and an REI Hobbitat for car camping.

This is REALLY strange! I just read your post for the first time today. Bought this last week! Eureka! 2XT.

Built in 30 min and $30. Last minute trip in my new to me tundra made me build this with info from another member on another site. Couldn't find a topper in time used on CL. I have one now but the tarp tent worked great. Quick and easy setup and tear down. Light weight as well and can be used on the ground.
