I want to use the real estate under the cab. Do you have a build thread? Sounds like a cool truck.
That's a diesel tho, the turbo is very good at chopping exhaust sound down and is in some states considered a legal sound-muffling device, meaning no need for actual muffler after it, and straight pipe is fine.

Another thing I don't like about the front-mounted stack is how it'd stick out the side of the truck in a location where nothing else does. Basically you got the nice and smooth fender, then all of sudden there is a stack, and then it's back to nice and smooth body and bed that is just as wide as the fender was...
Yeah I know your box is wider than the cab, that's why I say shove the stacks in front of the box corners, they'll blend in nicely. If you hang one up now the way you had it pictured, that would be the one sticking out like a sore thumb. Also considering how much of a pain exhaust usually is to install right, I'd much rather not use it as a curb feeler - a folding mirror works just as good for that purpose without the permanent damage Heck on our Frankenford you can't even see the exhaust, we took great care to tuck it up as high as possible under the bed so we don't flatten the tail if we go obstacle-crawling in reverse :truck:Good points but I will be using a muffler, not just straight pipe out, and the box is wider than the cab already. I can use the heat shield on the stack as a curb feeler on the pass side. :ylsmoke:
I go through that area a lot. I stay in Laughlin after races to write my stories and relax. Rooms are cheap! I have also spent some time on google earth checking for river access. I want to camp by the water when the temps cool down a bit.

Why not dump truck stack style?
Up through the hood like some of the smoke eating diesel guys?
