Can you explain this, please? Is this something that can add to the capacity on a long bed Superduty?

Excursions use a 45 gallon tank behind the axle, I have a 29 gallon tank on the frame in front of the axle, once i measure & verify it will fit it will add about 140% more fual capacity.

Not as good a deal as I can get on the ARB & it looks like the ARB would have better clearance... Nice looking bumper though!

Certainly cheaper than an ARB when I was buying, but it's steel and not aluminum. Great for deer collisions though... Give them a call, I think they're in Oregon at www.buckstop.biz. How much clearance do you need? The safety bar under the bumper would be a clearance issue first and it has to stay to mount most bumpers and is there as a legal thing too. Stops small cars from going under your truck... A bonus feature of this bumper, they should be paying me, is a front receiver hitch and they'll do all the light holes you need.

Both are steel - We are an authorized ARB dealer so I'd be buying that at cost as opposed to the Buckstop at full retail. ARB has MAP pricing at $1619 and most people sell at Jobber ($1472) - the Buckstop says between $1900-$2100 on their website - so definitely a big difference in price! The front hitch is a feature I still cant grasp why so many people find useful. A D-Ring shackle is more that enough to recover the vehicle and if you mount a winch in the bumper as designed the receiver is now just a low hanging plow. For those that want a multimount winch they are only rated & built for straight pulls, not side pulls, so their use is very limited as far as I'm concerned, but people still love them!

Hey, truck looks good. I have an '05 Excursion, and I'm also planning a swap to the SuperDuty coil front suspension and axle. Have you done this swap before? I was going to get a front and rear axle from the junkyard along with the steering parts and a front frame cut, then swap the brackets and mounts over, using the frame cut as a guide/template. Then do Bushwacker cutouts, Icon 4.5" suspension, 42" tires.

That would be awesome, ~74 gallons of fuel, though it seems like it might be a lot of work and fabbing ... why not an off the shelf option like Transferflow or some other variation? Granted, *only* 50 gallons but seems would be a simpler bolt in and I don't believe you lose the spare ... are you going to relocate spare into rear bumper? And you mentioned auxiallary water for shower ... assuming beneath the truck too, seems you're running out of room: Sliders, 2nd tank, water, air(?), welder ... ?
Curious, my Superduty is a extended cab short-bed ... was thinking about a Transferflow, spare on rear bumper and water container or winch in spare tire location.

Reading lots of threads on PSN & PS.org about bolting on the 05+ stock setup. Using a kit and keeping it low are difficult because most are setup for a 6"-8" lift. Full Traction has a setup that can be used as a 4" provided you can find a shock short enough to work, that generally limits you to like 6.5" travel at that height... thinking it might be better to go with the newer OE stuff & its tons cheaper
