Poly Bushings for Control Arms/Sway Bars
Who's running orange poly bushings from AB? Shipping to Hawaii is going to kill me on 4 x control arms and cost is huge as well. I can do the poly kit for $499 all four corners uppers and lowers so I am thinking that might be my option. I am not looking forward to getting the old bushings out but I've done it before with my press kit so I'm willing to save a few hundred bucks all around to do it if they perform as advertised.
I don't want to open up a can of worms on the poly conversation, just want to know from people who actually "have them" and have run them with a legit review.

I've got the full orange Poly kit installed on my 2006 LR3 since 2014. Good thing you're doing it yourself because labor on that job is expe$ive as heck.
My review is this: my truck now feels like a large heavy sports car. The ride is very firm and almost harsh at times (on bumps) when I run my 255/50/20 Nitto's (again, think sports car), but with my 275/65/18 Wrangler M/T's the ride is great. I don't have the squeaks that some have complained about and I off-road somewhat hard in/on rocks/mud. I thinks it's all good and would recommend it. My hope is that they last a very long time and I won't have to deal with bushings for a while.
Let me know if there is anything else more specific you'd like to know.

Is a specific bushing tool needed or are they pretty much all that same ? For example, a spring compressor would require correct spring size clamps while a set of box wrenches works on everything.
Of the available choices, what's probably the best poly kit for my lr3 7000-8000+Lbs? I've been looking at sources for the various control arms with at least the upgrade to range rover sport stiffness but I also found HD CV joints I think on Mudtech.
Your build is probably similar in weight to mine having those RS sliders and stuff but mine is probably still significantly more sometimes and I've hit some weird heavy steel sounding rattle / clanking when I'm going over rough parent or washboards. Sounds like **** but also I'm starting to think the DSC kicks in on corners more than it should and I'm not even using spacers right now. :/

Sorry Victory, thread hijackbut my questions probably pertain to ones you have too
No sweat, I surely don't mind as I like to keep the dialogue open. As long as it pertains to progress on the build, I hope it will helps others as they go through their process. As much as I would like to be putting my fridge, sleeping platform, and dual battery kit in, the suspension is clearly falling apart right now and it's time to just do it all at once.

Thanks for the follow up to you and @Morrisdl. I am going this route and worst case is I have four corners on the shelf later on with poly kits. Poly is super easy to get in and out once you have them, the old bushings are a ********** anyway we swing it.
DiscoNels, how many miles do you have on them right now?

No specific tools. As a matter of fact it's more like drilling out the old rubber, push the inner sleeve out, and then cut the outer sleeve and crack it to push it out. AB has a good video on YouTube and their page. Complete pain in the butt and lots of labor time involved. I'm expecting a few hours for the front and another few for the back. Assuming I get a technique, I'm sure it'll speed up a bit. I plan to be on the jackstands for a week or so as I go over the bottom of the truck and make sure I have all the leaks fixed too as I think I have an axle seal leaking too.
I would be interested in those HD CV. Are they front and back? Whats the cost on those? I'm going to be doing boots and repacking on my axles while its on the stands so that might be a good time.

Isn't Mudtech the Italian company doing LR3/4 fun stuff?
I frequently use my truck in anger and would be very keen to learn more about a more robust CV, ideally a higher angle offering as well.

That's good info. I've heard mixed reviews but I think like everything it's relative to install and usage. I'm waiting to hear back to see if I can get price match on Merriam RRS lowers. If so, I may pull the trigger on those instead. Otherwise, it's gonna be a mess here putting bushings in all the corners.

Breath of fresh air.
So today I put the rig up on the stands to get under her and see what I need to order. I knew I had a fairly bad oil leak under there and originally though it was a main seal or something major.
I took off all of the skid plates and the first thing I looked at was the first thing I should have looked at a while back......yep, loose oil filter! Anywho, I degreased the entire underside and performed an oil change and she's dry as I could ever imagine. Not a single leak under there at 95k.
So, I'll take the embarrassment with a breath of fresh air that my baby is still holding strong and taking care of me.
I'll continue to drive her over the next few weeks with no skid plates while awaiting suspension parts to show up. No off-roading of course. Trans, transfer case, and diffs are getting their fluids next as well.
If anyone has any suggestions of something I should just do under there while it's down for a bit, please pipe in cuz I don't want to break it down twice for no reason.
