I am going to treat the wood, probably with thompsons water seal. I thought about using boiled linseed oil but if I put carpet on top the glue won't stick. For the the being I have 2 outdoor rugs I've been using in the bed. I'll put them on top.

Added some exterior scene lights.

Today I did a slight body mount chop. Took care of the last bit of rubbing I had and could fix( I'm not going to notch the frame). I also added a support brace for the lower part of the tire. And added a gusset under the tire mount and lights for the license plate. I thought about adding a mount for the high lift but I'll add one when I make the fuel can side. I also got around to boxing in the back of the swing arm bracket. I have a lot less movement with the tire. Pictures later.

Do you have any advise for adding the structural support in your topper? I am thinking that it is necessary for the weight of the RTT and occupants? I had a Yakima/Thule type track/rail installed on the cab and then added a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform for a future RTT but the vibration and noise was terrible (I am going down to the RR Distributor to have it reinstalled) but at this point I would rather use the cab rack system for my kayaks and mount the RTT on the topper. (ARE Premium Cab height Topper also with the rail/track system) It has been inspiring watching your build/progress :)
TIA

Not sure if that generation of Tundra has adjustable steering stops, but you may be able to adjust them out a touch to keep from rubbing on the frame.

That's why I reinforced the shell. With the added weight of bodies I decided to do the internal cage. I don't get any vibration from the tent and I don't notice any added wind noise. I do still plan to add a cab rack for bikes and traction boards.

Not sure if I have adjustable steering bumps. I believe they are internal of the rack. The only time I rub is if I go full lock, if j come back 1/2" I'm clear.

There should still be physical stops on the knuckle, probably off the lower control arm, usually it's just a nub but sometimes there's a bolt that you can turn out. Either way, it sounds so minimal I'd just avoid turning that far lol. Bed storage/organization looks awesome.

Re-redoing things the third time
If they are stock or stock replacement ball joints or control arms then they are not adjustable.

Thanks for the info! It would have been nice to not rub at all. But it's not the end of the world.

Next trip planned. 3 days exploring the Alagash river region.

How are you mounting them?

I have Foa 10s with my deavers and to fit them and make the deavers cycle I had to angle them quite a bit.

Fox 10" shocks fit in the factory location. Factory rear bump stops are set to basically the perfect height to bump them before the shock bottoms out.

Also welded on the Tacoma long bed sliders. Needed a little modification to work. Cut the Tacoma legs off, made my own with a 5 degree down and 15 degree up. Sits pretty perfect. I also made them 1"longer than the Tacoma legs. No more door dings for me!

Bonus material: water crossings from our last trip!

How else are you supposed to check road conditions?

Installed the fox 985-24-009 they are substantially longer than the Icon's. Almost too long. Thoughts? @rickashay @seanpistol

Sitting on level ground, not much shaft showing and still have 3.5-4" to full bump stop.

I noticed that they have a lot more dampening.
