Rail Riders new Weathertop Jacket

I am a huge fan of Rail Riders clothing.
I own four pair of the Extreme Adventure pants and some insect repellent shirts, and other shirts as seen here in this thread.

I received an email a few weeks back of a new jacket will be carrying, and I pre-ordered mine yesterday.
Should be shipping in mid September.
Went with the slate/gray color, it will match the pants I have by them.
Looks like it will be good to wear by itself, or if colder, layer a polar fleece underneath.

Speaking of the pants, they still look brand new after having them for a few years.
They have held up well camping, and wearing them daily at work where they gets lots of abuse.
I can see zero wear in them after owning them for a few years now.
These are the best pants I have ever ran across.

Anyways, back to the jacket.

I have asked them a few times if they can get the Extreme Adventure pants in black, but alas the answer is no.
I could dig having a few pairs of them in black with a lighter gray as the contrasting color where the nylon is double thickness.

I have not seen any news yet on the backpack, will have to read up on it.

He is not very product improvement friendly. They make what they make, if it fits/works then great, if not, tough luck.

I like the ext adv pants. But I am tired of poor fit and paying a tailor to sew belts loops on $100 pants.

My Extreme Adventure pants all have belt loops on them.
I do not use the supplied belt though, it twists to much.
I use Cabelas belts that have a plastic push down thing that holds the belt in place very well.

Yes, they have loops, for those silly little 1" starbucks adventure belts. Wont fit a useful belt, like 1.5". I have one pair that will fit, if you dont have the pants on, and can spend 5 minutes tugging and pulling it through the small loops. Spoke with him years ago about making the loops a little bigger for 1.5-1.75" belts. No go.

Sheesh, how hard is it to make bigger loops? Adventure my butt.

I guess my Cabela's belt is not too wide then.

They just got a shipment of of these jackets in, but not in the gray I wanted, those will not get in until the end of September.
I changed my order to the blue cobalt one, it should be shipping before long.
If I like it as much as I think I will, I will be getting the gray one later.

The jacket showed up yesterday, very nice!
Light weight just like their pants and shirts, very well constructed.
Got this one in a 2X, a little big, but will be nice to layer under at work during the winter.

Just ordered a second one in Extra Large and the slate/gray color.

Railriders is fantastic stuff. Pretty much all I wear on my Utah adventures. The stuff lasts forever. Great cust. serv as well.

This is what I like about the Extreme Adventure Pants I have from them.
They get very worked over at work, washed, and look brand new again.
These are also the only pants I wear on weekends when the weather is too cool to be wearing shorts.

The slate/black one showed up a bit ago.
A little better fit on me than the 2X one, plus I like the color better.
