MPT 81 is made in a 275/80/20 which is a 38x11.5 I believe.

I had a great last couple of days adventuring and such. I verified that in fact, a full size CCSB Ram 2500 on 40s can in fact fit over Red Cone - Radical Hill - Middle Fork of the Swan River and down to Breckenridge... I should have taken a picture of the sign on the Hwy 285 side that clearly stated "Full Size 4x4 will not fit".
I've been with a Hummer H1 over Red Cone.
Ravenmad, how are you liking the tires. I have thought about the nitto trail grappler in 37x11.5-20 (36.77x11.4-20)at 80lbs but the Conti 81 in 275/80R-20 (37.4x10.4-20) 84lbs. These will be used on a 2500 mega cab CTD that tows a 10,000lb toy hauler. Just trying to figure out the best for longevity.

...With all that, I think (and its only an educated guess) that the Nitto will last longer than the Conti. for the type of use you have described. Im actually considering a set of 40 inch Nitto's for around town, drive on long "road" trip tires as well.
I’m not so sure. Those Contis are designed to take far heavier loads and are a much higher ply tire than the Nittos.
For longevity alone, I think the Conti would last longer on a 2500.
