I'm not missing mine so far either. :D I just hope any type of evasive maneuvering on the roads/freeways won't drastically effect the chances of rollovers. Too much body roll can alter the tipping point. **Knock on wood**

If something happens that causes your truck to flip over it would be a very rare case where the rear sway bar on a leaf sprung vehicle would have prevented it.

Just don't drive it like a sportscar. Took me awhile to adjust but I drive like a grandma now, and that's cool

Rust does a body good.
Both of our Xterras are completely swaybar free. After a little adjustment it feels totally normal.

As long as you aren't taking corners like you're drifting, you should be fine. I've had mine off for over a year now, but then again the X was never one for taking hard corners even with the swaybar still attached. She's a bit of a boxy pig. :sombrero:

Funny how you guys say that as I come from a import car background. I do drive my girlfriend's Cooper S quite spiritedly as it brings back memories. The mod bug is tempting me there too.

It didn't take much to get used to the extra body roll, but good to hear that it will take quite a lot to put her over the top. I've heard stories and accounts of numerous Xterra's flipped on freeways but with the tendencies of these vehicle types and the combination of horrible drivers, I guess it's not uncommon to see them on their roofs or sides.

SpongeX: You going to pick up that front bumper from Josh? It's one heck of a sweet deal. I have more use for the rear than a front bumper. I was debating making the drive up there to pick it up, but 30 hours and over 2000mi roundtrip kind of puts a dent in the wallet.

Good husbands buy their wives flowers and jewelry for Valentine's Day, but a fantastic husband buys his wife a plate steel bumper and takes her camping in Moab.

Very well said. That's a great husband right there. :D

I was going to take the girlfriend camping to Big Sur or Sequoia this weekend but conflicts of family plans came up.

Sure am. She's been nagging me for a bumper for some time now.

Nice upgrade Richard. Will you be adding an extra leaf when you add the rear bumper or what's your plan?

Next time you head up to do a local quick trip pm me. I'd like to know where these places are to test upgrades as well.

SpongeX: awesome.

Demo: for sure dude. Not sure when the next time I'll head out but I'll definitely let you know. If you go out too let me know as well. I'll probably do an AAL or do a rear shackle when it happens if it sags too much. It doesn't seem to sag that badly when the stock rear was fully loaded on my last camping trip. Maybe the leafs aren't that worn yet.

Just keep an eye on your leaf pack. Weve had two leaf packs break their middle leaf.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Might just do an entire pack replacement when the bumper goes on. Is it after extensive wear/maintenance item or something that happens to frequent on stock leaf pack?

After 10 years they were likely due anyways. Deaver or Alcan are custom spring manufacturers in the US. I would look there first. Almost all the normal lift company don't offer full new springs

With customs you can get them to design whatever lift or extra weigh capacity you want
