Rust does a body good.
Yeah its a limited market. I think there are only two companies producing headers and only DT does long tubes.

Hey man, if you ever want to do some wheeling/shooting, let me know. I dont know if you ever get days off during the week, but I catch one here and there and would love to head out and find a new, closer wheeling/shooting spot. As it is now, I usually head to sharpshooters in Torrance for quick pistol trips, and head up towards Castaic to the shooting range I belong to for rifle work.

I like to shoot, but dont know how obvious that is from my avatar and user name. haha..

Too bad there arent any good (any at all) wheeling areas in Palos Verdes. The "enviro-nazis" have dug their claws in deep up there.

My friends and I are always trying to find a closer BLM spot free from idiots on the range. I'm always afraid of a ND or some person who doesn't understand basic range rules. I'm tired of RO's yelling at noobs who repeat what they were told not to do. Plus there are too many restrictions and waiting around for cease-fire's or even finding an open bench.

I'm always up for a wheeling/shooting trip as you can get two birds with one stone. We've been to a number of BLM sites in the surrounding areas, most about 2 hours away. It's far but it's typical to spend a half to full day out there. We usually bring a bbq or buy food when we go so it's a worthwhile trip, although it's been quite some time since we last did that.

I hear you on PV. It's even tough for MTBers to keep the trails open up at Del Cerro Park as I used to ride out there a lot. A darn shame.

I have days off from work here and there as well when no jobs come in. I like the occasional offroad trips mid-week. Next time I head out to Santiago Peak or just send some rounds down range, I'll definitely let you know. And vice versa!

There's a monthly local meet if you're interested in going, in Buena Park on the 21st at 6:30p/7p. I might go depending on work scheduling.

Thanks for the heads up, and I totally hear ya about the typical range idiots and RO's. One thing I like about Sharp Shooters is the fact that I know Fred and Matt in there pretty well, so they let me do what I want and I typically shoot down at the end away from the tards..

The range I belong to up in Castaic is far from being the typical Angeles or Burro Canyon range. Its called Burbank Rifle and Revolver Club (BRRC.ORG) and is more of the professionals type of range. Everyone there is an RO and equally responsible for the safety on the range. There are many world class shooters that belong to the club (Gary Eliseo tied the world record score in NRA highpower or CMP games, I forget which) and just about every weekend is some sort of competition (Tactical, NRA Hi-Power, XTC, CMP, etc) happening. Its a safe place, mostly void of yahoos...

Im going out of town next weekend (16-19) but will be back the week after and will have that Wednesday off if you wanted to do something and dont have work. Let me know! Ill PM you my cell number too.

Thanks :) I saw your roof lights flip on at the intersection and thought to myself, "Those are pretty bright. Why is that guy flashing... wait a minute, I know that rig!" It's coming along nicely!

HAHA.. Yeah.. Its amazing how bright these bastards can be.

Thanks again for the info on Santiago Peak.. We had a good time, and I also realized (again) how badly I need to put a new rear leaf pack in.. I figure while Im at it, Ill just toss in a Dakar leaf pack, Rancho 9000 xl shocks and Rancho QuickLift fronts with new steering components.

Its only money, right?

I know what you mean... my rears need my AAL's to be installed. Time and money. It's all that is. Just beware of that domino effect of replacing one thing, then replacing/upgrading everything else related to it.

One step ahead of you. I already have inner/outer tie rods, new front hub assemblies and ball joints (if needed) priced out as well as all the suspension upgrade stuff. Its going to be an expensive endeavor, but worth it in the end if I do it all at once...
