Here are mine at my in-laws farm. Burm is about +34". Stock suspension on 33x12.5 tires.

My '88 Pathfinder on 33x10.5R15s. It has 22" of rear wheel travel and I run approximately stock ride height. No sway bars and longer rear shocks are all that are needed for an otherwise stock '87-'95 Pathy to flex like this. Not that my truck is otherwise stock.

This is the only pic I could find where it's actually fully flexed. It takes a LOT for this truck to lift a rear tire!

This is a dumb little video I took while out testing some front suspension parts. It does show the flexiness of the truck pretty well though, especially when going back down the hill.

Thanks guys, its a double shackle kit from Trailtough, but no I put a Ford Style front shock mount on it and got a 22 inch ride height shock and it will limit the travel to 3 inches from the fender, and drops a total of 18 inches, no really good flex pictures seeing how I lost my phone, but here is one of this weekend

Actually the frame flex was just deemed to be acceptable due to lower manufacturing cost. There was no higher engineering purpose. It is that simple. Any improvements have been to "one up" the competion to gain more of a market share. A competitive advantage if you will. Business is to make the lowest cost product that will serve the target market.

You can try to justify a frame behaving like a wet noodle if you want to but it does not hold water from either a business or engineering point of view.
