Looks like smitty’s original supplier is mad they aren’t being used anymore and is now offering them direct to the end user. However....importing a trailer into the US is sooooooo troublesome, it’s not even worth it. The problem, when I tried doing this was a bunch of fees, customs issues, no vin, hassle with explaining there was no motor is the trailer, and the possible customs inspection that hits you for $1000 no questions asked. Then you have to worry about FOB, LTL, LTC, insurance on the water insurance at the ports.....it’s a nightmare to try and save money, and in the end you either spend the same or if more than what it costs here stateside.

Just letting you know what I ran into.

Does anyone want the pro comp rims and tires? One spare with zero miles and the two with maybe less than 10,000 miles? have no need for them and they can be anyone's for free....just come pick up.

Picked up my trailer today from
@habitatoffroad.

Tows nicely behind the Porsche. 80-90 mph like it's not there.

I'll have to modify the tire carrier the clear the hitch so it opens but that's a minor thing.

Can't wait to get home tomorrow start working on it.

I'll start working on the electrical this weekend.

I'm debating on a battery box like this. Or just using a battery hold down.

I like the battery box idea because it'll be protected from any other items and throw in the box.

I'm using the same (or a very similar) battery box:

One good thing about using a box is that, if you need to, you can take it out of the trailer easily and do other things wit it.

I'm using a battery box as well. I mounted the box to the trailer though so it can't move around.

That's use of the word 'only' I'm not familiar with Mike
10 gallons it just under 38 litres.
40 litres of plastic water storage will cost around $40 and will be a fraction of the weight when empty.
I cannot think where you would mount this unit... other than in the place of the spare wheel or on the top of the trailer under the tent (which would be unsuitable).
I carry two plastic 20 litre water jerry cans, and for weekend trips I rarely use more than 25 to 30 litres. I'm researching an under tray solution to sit between the wheels underneath for when I do longer trips and need more water. There are lots of under trailer options, some even have stone guards. Ones that carry 80 to 100 litres are around AU$200 so would be around US$100 to US$150. Seems better solution that one of these steel or aluminium tanks.

Does your table mount to the eye bolts and rest on the fender?

Sorry, I do not have a good photo of it right now. Mine is resting on the eye bolts (dremeled the board down a bit there to be flush) and on the fender. I did drill a hole in the fender and the board is had tight bolted to it with a round head bolt and a wing nut on the bottom.

Did some work on the trailer today. Definitely a bit smaller than my old M416.

Even though the Batwing is a right side unit it'll work just fine for now.

I need to get the spare tire relocated takes up a lot of space up there.

Moved the tongue box back after relocating the spare tire to the rear. Bought a smittybilt bumper and tire carrier. Had a bracket welded to use the trailers trailer hitch and the two recovery points. Also modified the jack brackets to work with the bumper. Propane tank mounted on a power tank bracket. Also Friday missed up most of the electrical. The ac charger for the lithium ion battery works great. Still need to work out n the solar panel when I get home.

Do you mind sharing what part number bumper and tire carrier you used? Looks factory.

Most in the US don't appear to use mud flaps...
Mud flaps are a legal requirement in Australia, and I had to fit them to get the trailer registered.
I made the mud flaps myself, wasn't hard or costly. They come out so that you can use the jacks if required:
