Got any chains for it yet? Used to see many commuters in Yellowknife all winter with them on. Even at -35....

But I'd suggest against trying to ride across Great Slave Lake from Yellowknife to Hay River on the ice road - especially in the spring when the weather is only -5 or so. All it takes is a spring blizzard to ruin your day....

Some pretty nice pics. I'd like to get out this winter and give it a try, as long as I can get my bike running again.
Quick question though, what PSI do you run your tires at? Would it be a good idea to air down a little?

I love having a trail to myself. The soft snow, crisp..... cold....... air and empty trails made for a great ride. While this area isn't technical by any means it was still great to get out and ride for an hour or so. The views were beautiful (well minus all the neighborhoods) and I think I will start heading back that way more often!
