I have mixed feelings about this. While it'll be nice to be able to get some more legs and cool inserts just by running down to the flagship store, we're now in the mainstream. And sometimes the mainstream isn't the greatest place:
likely the volume going up will be cause for more of the Chinese made stuff.
REI isn't my go-to store anymore because of their ardent support of the sierra club and their wish to shut down OHV trails.

As I stated before, I just hope SP can actually keep all the IGT items in stock... I could careless if it was REI or Walmart.

Mainstream or not; so long as quality doesn't suffer I'm fine with it. While, I don't agree with their politics I won't let it keep me from picking up a couple bits of gear.
If the ACTUAL SNOW PEAK STORE just carried their goods we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Just like Bigfoot, UFO's, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Buffalo Bills winning the Super Bowl.... I'll believe it when I see it.

OH! OK I must have read that wrong and it was 40% off THOSE prices....
I wonder if the "Flagship Store" means you can only buy it at the store. Hopefully they have web sales as well. I don't know why Southern CA doesn't have a Flagship Store, not many places have as many people as here.

The flagship stores will demo and stock the two different kits they will offer. All of the items will also be available al la cart from the REI website.
