Snow Peak Addiction

I would hate to see the propane version.

It looks like the baja burner has a fuel line- I think you can adapt the butane canisters for use. Heck I think I've converted all my cooking stuff to use it, except for backpacking where size and weight are a concern.

Just for comparison, a cheap butane stove puts out around 7000btu.

A higher end one will put out 14000 to 1http://www.amazon.com/Iwatani-Corporation-America-35FW-Portable/dp/B00522F2R2/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1374172386&sr=8-6&keywords=butane+stove

How are you guys packing your IGT? Maybe I'm a little over protective but I don't want the bamboo to get hammered while traveling

The canvas bag they have that fits the long stuff :)
Lay them down face to face and lay a piece of this non slide material I had from costco its kinda like tight mesh and has some squish

Try to take care of all my gear :)

I'll probably end up going this route, I've been avoiding it because the bag is too long for my 3 unit and standard table extension... A custom fit bag with dividers would be ideal if I could find some decent fabric and have my neighbor sew it up for me.

I generally pack mine with enough stuff around it that it doesn't move. I also always have a moving blanket with me so I can tuck it around things or cover them to protect them from prying eyes, excessive heat, etc. Plus the moving blanket works great as a quick mat for a picnic or whatever.

I like the idea of a dual purpose moving blanket.

I think the best solution is to just get rid of my 3 unit and get a 4 unit now that I have storage space on the roof and or the trailer. :sombrero: Then the snow peak carry bag will fit without slack. All of this just because snow peak doesn't make a 3 unit carry bag - exactly what they wanted me to do. LOL

before I always used my towel :)
mine are packed also not to move around

the reason I like the bag with handle is easy to get in and out and carry to and from the vehicle etc..
nylon bag for the frame again all the legs and frame which can get a bit dirty with grease even though I wipe it down ?

I might say the bag is handy :) and makes the small task of loading unloading gear nicer not better just nicer if that makes sense :)

I was ready to pull the trigger on a titanium Kanpei bottle (mug) Now no one has them. Very frustrating.

Their Overland Expo booth was weak. Expensive china crap for the most part. Flimsy expensive tables that were warped ect. What the heck is to love about this stuff?.. Well they do have great adds and I'm sure it's better than a lot of stuff but its nothing special.
What are the few products that shine besides that cool copper hammer that I want but don't know why? Hmmm..Maybe I just figured out the attraction to their stuff.

The forged steel tent stakes are fantastic. What's the point of having a copper hammer if you have nothing to beat on?

Most of their geared toward overland small items are made in china- stainless steel pots/pans/ etc. Their larger items (grills, etc) are made in Japan. Some backpacking stuff is made in taiwan, china, or korea (depending on the item). I believe almost all, if not every piece of titanium cookware and cutlery is made in japan. My snowpeak globe hizuki? led light is also made in japan.

I think its like anything its certain things are nice others are OK some I pass on

the tables are pretty solid they do wobble a touch if you try to move them I should say :) so at least ya have to try to move them but so do most tables that fold etc.. and seems more solid than other foldables I have had
the nice thing is they collapse up really small for how much space you get and how you can configure it in many ways etc..

I like there BBQ box and for my stove I have partner steel instead I like there titanium mugs but not there plates and bowls but others do :)
baja burners are nice when you pick them up rock solid ! sadly cant put griddles on them :( or I would have kept them

folks love there chairs ? I like the Helinox I have now I did try out a couple of the chairs they had and they are nice and comfy but not worth the price IMHO so went back !
example the canvas tall back one is the most comfy reclining chair for camp but sitting up straight is not so comfy for me ? the low beach chair had a funny thing that dug in on the bottom and did not fold down enough :)

I love there stuff but I love Partner steel I love some coleman ! and some Japanese coleman is cool

I LOVE CAMPING :) all camping any brand dont care :) as long as ya love the outdoors and have fun with it :)
