the one key I think for the IGT is how it can pack thin and flat and to keep that as much as possible when thinking about things :)

but I do think so many options variables and carrying styles we each have our own way of doing things and there is no one option ? I prefer to keep my bamboo tables top to top so if a ding happens it happens on the other side
a case with a divider set inside built in could be good or even two dividers with a boxed bottom so you could drop in your main IGT in the middle with the bamboo on either side

some have the stainless inserts or the bamboo and some have the slide extensions (bamboo) some have both
so also a bit more generic option could be good ?

offer custom at a reasonable price :) come up with some base options so we can order a 2 3 or 4 space setup with one or two dividers or maybe sewn pockets to the inside to slide in our extensions or spacers etc..

Some great suggestions!

Thanks!

It seems that keeping the case as flat and compact as possible, but also versatile and large enough to store legs, dividers and table tops is important.......interesting.....so should the case be as modular as the SP system or single case with multiple pockets to reduce complexity work?

A single case with pockets in the inside with a divider to keep the table top from getting scratched. I built one last year and it works great. Also, I put Velcro across the top to keep dust to a minimum. That way I don't have to wipe it down after each days trail run. Also, it would be nice of you (hint, hint) to build a case for the single BBQ Box, since there is not an eta on it being back in stock.

I think a BBQ box with a lower portion that was to hold the charcoal would be cool :) but not sure if others think so :) I use a old soft cooler charcoal sits next to it

just remember the IGT is all based off units so 2 unit table or 3 or 4
things like the bamboo sides you can slide in might be a bit longer but the width is the same so if you made a 3 space table do 3 even slip in sleeves so I can slide in my bamboo sides or the inerts even the stainless inserts

the legs if you have a two space and tall legs won't fit so a separate case for that some have the sitting height or standing height I have both and even the short ones
a leg case could be tricky since you have three lengths of legs and 3 lengths of tables so someone with a 2 space table or 3 space and tall legs the legs won't fit anyway and not sure someone with sitting height legs would want to buy a long bag so you would need two bags :)

True, you would have to make two bags. One for the 3 Unit and one for the 4 Unit. Honu, BBQ box holder with a zip compartment underneath is a brilliant idea. Great thoughts are flowing. I might have to drive up to CO and just sit down with Paul and bring my SP stuff, so,we can hash out something.

have thought about doing my own bags and ideas since I own so much of the stuff :) but I am going to sell some off and cut back a bit
I usually end up only using two of the IGT setups and I have 3 :)

I get a free BBQ bag for my design idea :) if they make one like that :)

Wow! I just spent the last few days reading all of the posts in this thread. It is time to introduce myself to all of you fellow SP addicts! Hi my name is Brian...

I have the Snow Peak addiction for sure! I got most of my stuff right before the Overland Expo '14. I have learned a lot from all the posts here, I wish I had seen some of these before. That said I am very happy with what I have so far, I have the 4 unit IGT (mostly because that is all that you can get now). A Double BBQ Box and a Regular IGT Table and a Regular Slider.

Today I got a Baja Burner from John Lee at EE, (last one he had) thanks John! I have also ordered a 4U Carry Bag, a Double Bamboo insert, and one of those new half width box units, from SP directly. The new SP website is really nice and the picture directions on the Baja Burner page really helped me overcome my lack of Japanese reading ability on the directions.

I think the idea of getting 2 single boxes makes sense from flexibility standpoint, that is the only thing I would change. But alas only the Dbl BBQ seemed in stock. But it is well made but not as deep it seems - and no cooking lid.

I could only get the sitting height IGT legs, but I like them so far. I really want a set of the leg straps Yuman makes!

Here is a pic from Memorial Day BBQ in the backyard. I grilled 6 ears of sweet corn on the BBQ Box, just put foil over the ears and put a BBQ veg grill basket upside down on top to keep the foil in place. I wish there was a lid on the Double Box for just this reason.
I couldn't use charcoal at the Expo so this was the first time firing up the BBQ Box.

The final results between the Weber and the SP. I love to cook!

Snow Peak bag thoughts...

Yuman Desert Rats straps

the Snow Peak official bag

They used to have a 4 unit deluxe carrying case that I own, but I can't find it on the site now. It was a combination of this bag:

and this material:

Zipper enclosure and Shoulder Strap

The material and construction of the Snow Peak bags isn't only about durability, but it's about looks. As such, the fairly lightweight, tough and good looking canvas material will be tough to improve on. Adding some leather would be a nice touch to differentiate your bag.

The main two issues with the bag are that there are no sleeves to put addon shelves in or straps to hold any of the legs. This makes carrying everything pretty un-organized and loose in the bag. Terrible!

Secondly there is no zipper enclosure to keep dust and dirt out. Another big oversight in my opinion.

Finally, a removeable shoulder strap would be a nice plus for carrying to and from a camp/picnic site.

to bad they quit making the cm-127 or side tables
http://www.equipt1.com/item/iron-grill-table-stainless-side-tray-set
really like mine a lot because they are stainless can put whatever I want on them with no worries
wonder why no more of these ? IMHO a item I use

also the end style gabbing bag is gone :( kinda wanted to pick one of those up just clamp my bags on now :) but oh well

Chrys I also noticed it was gone ?
I was going to post it also to bad a nice design you can put over your shoulder and a lower hand grip where you can support the bag from a very good design for carrying
the extra cases it came with held
1) bamboo side extensions
2) I think is for the bamboo inserts ? I use it for something else
3) the windscreen
4) the stainless inserts holds 1 pair wish it held 2 ;)
5) set of long legs

for anyone sewing the idea of the lower hand strap is pretty handy vs the basic that done have this feature
