Yeah they are pretty cool
New item for this trip since our new chairsso ended up cutting a set of my 660 down to to 570 which worked out for proper height for the chairs and allowed the height adjusters to work

Amazing he does not like eggs at home as much ?
But cooked them up in Bacon grease and he loved them

Hey, Honu, what a great setup! I just got a hold of some Helinox chairs as well and really dig them. What height did you settle on for the table and these chairs when you chopped the legs? I have the smaller single action table which I love as it fits the JKU and am contemplating chopping the legs. Also, do you find it ok to leave the bamboo stuff out in the rain without any trouble later?

yeah the chairs are great
again the head rest thing/idea I came up with you might really like a lot just have to get some time this next week or so and dial it in a bit better made a wood prototype that worked out great my next one is just going to be out of a chunk of PVC pipe and then going to get some 13 easton poles for the uprights but been using some cheap trekking poles I have and it works its pretty basic and easy once I get the PVC ones cut and drilled we should hook up since we are so close
curious if you still keeping the kermits then ?

I think I would leave the single action table alone myself main reason is the X on the legs cut it down in height the feet would be awful close together and could get really unstable
works with the IGT stuff easy enough cause of the straight down leg style
again if you ever want to see the sit height I can just throw those legs and the IGT in the rig and we can meet up somewhere when I am over that way or if you are coming over this way ?
never left mine out in the rain yet ? if I hear its going to rain I bring it in which is pretty quick and easy just fits inside the main room of our tent

also hate wet stoves and BBQ units etc.. if I can help it
a couple times I have had the awning up left it out all night but no moisture settled on them either ? so really cant say long standing water would do anything ?

Snow Peak Skillet finish question
So I scored a mostly brand new in box Snow Peak Multi-Purpose Cookset 1 off craigslist for cheap. The 3 sauce pots and strainer have never been used. The skillet was evidently burnt on a stove. I read in the owner's info that came with the kit that there is a coating on the fry pan that needs to be burned off. I assume the previous owner tried to do this (with poor results- see pic). There is still a paint like coating on most of the pot but not the cooking surface. What is the pot supposed to look like after the coating is burned off? Do I need to get it really hot again or is this the best I can expect? I'm not sure I want to use the pot as it sits now. I am happy with the other pots. I can always get a different skillet. if its like my steel griddle thing I have from them which sadly has warped really bad aarrgghhhhhh
you can tell when it comes off it will be more steel looking than the black it took mine a while and once it started you could see it burn off slowly but took while I did mine on a camp chef burner setup I have at home once I got it all off took my time building up a few layers of oil and it has worked pretty good as far as the non stick qualities

Thanks for your reply. I guess I will try burning it off some more. I have a partner stove- so I just put it on there and heat it up until it burns off?

I'm not that active on forums these days and apologize for not following up on this.
Order was completed a while ago and didn't hold back:

2 single BBQ boxes - purchased a 2nd for the times I'm cooking for a large crowd
1 - Baja Burner with Kovea LP adapter
stainless and bamboo inserts of ranging sizes
paper towel holder
and a bunch of other misc SP items from knives to scissors
*custom designed/made tote to store it all safely and easily to come real soon*
Having cooked on everything several times now I am VERY impressed with the quality. From the materials to the craftsmanship I feel like Snow Peak products are worth the money. I'm less impressed with the company and how they manage inventory and communicate their plans with customers but heck, nobody is perfect.
I still own a Partner Steel double burner that I really like. And when I'm cooking for crowds I'm more likely to use it and just set it on my IGT instead of the Baja Burner. It too runs on LP. And for trips where I know I'll need a 2 burner I am less likely to also carry the single Baja Burner. I really like to stay away from hauling 2 of anything unless I really need it.
I appreciate that. And was all ready to make something to fit my needs. Then I found Expedition Exchange! The Kovea adapter is nicely made and works great - and you can't beat the price. So happy that all my appliances run off a single fuel source.
Guess I'm lucky. I was able to get one. I think it was the last one in the US. I actually know someone that owns a nice outdoor shop in Telluride and knew he had a display model....so I offered to buy it and he agreed.
Much appreciated. I found the Kovea adapter about 15 minutes after my initial post. Guess I should search a little harder next time.

Partner Steel makes great products. Their advertising is pretty terrible though haha. How have all of you found out about Partner Steel? We want to get the word out to more people about them.

So I recently did some work for Snow Peak and received partial payment in product credit. I'm no overland-er (yet?) but I am a big backpacker and camper. I already had most of snow peak's backpacking offerings covered off on so I decided I should spend my credit on some unique stuff that they offered that nobody else has really done. As you can probably guess I ended up landing on an IGT setup and this thread seems to be the best discussion forum for Snow Peak anywhere on the web from the looks of it.
So far I've picked up a 4-unit table w/ standing legs, a 2 unit bamboo tray, 1 unit of the stainless inserts, and the single unit bbq box. I also picked up a canvas carrying bag and am waiting for the baja stove to come in stock again. I'll probably pick up a large fire pit at some point soon as well.
I had just a few questions for some of you Snow Peak veterans...
Any tips for grilling in the bbq box? is it best to do just a single layer of briquets or to go deeper? I'll mostly be grilling chicken breast probably with the occasional hot dog or steak. I've tested the bbq box out once so far and feel like I didn't get the heat up high enough because I definitely didn't have grill-marks on the chicken I cooked. I'm thinking maybe I just didn't use enough briquets.
What do you pack as far as tools? any recommendations for a fire glove/mit and some bbq tongs that I can buy online to throw in with my camping kit? Prior to this I only really had a backpacking kit put together so I'm starting to assemble a car-camping kit that I can just grab and go. It'd be great to know if there are some high quality camp-cooking utensils that are on par with Snow Peaks offerings but possibly a little less expensive.
Really appreciating all of the photos people have shared in this thread, it's definitely been helping me visualize how to configure things.
