Any thoughts on a spare under mount/need for spare? I went with the Sierra 4.5 x 9 and off road fenders/frame without the off road suspension. Will probably go with 30" tires.

I'm having mine build with wheels and tires matching my Jeep, which will be the primary toe vehicle, so I can use the spare off it if need be.

I had my trailer built to match my Jeep at the time. Now I have a Toyota Tacoma and I need to change out the wheels/tires for my trailer to match the truck. I have 35's on the trailer cuz that's what was on the Jeep so in case I needed a spare I had the one on the Jeep. Now I need to change it all over to match. I'll eventually get 33's on the Tacoma and have it match on the trailer.

My new rig

Picked up my new teardrop from Voyager in Durango a couple of days ago. Really pleased with the design and the quality of build, to say nothing of Mike and his crew. They were great! Now for some photos:

1. Yup, it's a Voyager, towed by the ZoiVan. ZoiVan because we have five Borzoi that we haul around in the van.

2. Driving home, stopped for a rest break just shy of the continental divide (10,500 foot elevation).

3. And now we are building things and buying presents for the teardrop. Since we have a max coupler, a conventional trailer dolly is not useful, so I bought a standard coupler, mounted it upside down on a repurposed garden cart which we had destroyed sometime last year, and stuck a three-ball we had sitting around into the trailer receiver. Works great. You can also see the tongue box and the 10 gallons of water plus five gallons of fuel that will live on the tongue. Jerry can holder still under construction.

4. The galley is now graced by an Icey-tech cooler, another ten gallons of water (we dry camp in NM and have a pack of thirsty Borzoi to take care of), a modified door, now a drop down flap, under the cook stove, and a screen in the pass through. The left-most 5 gallons is from Front Runner and is still awaiting the hose connection which will replace the stock plastic faucet. Oh, and a State-Pen Porter.

5. Shakedown camping trip is planned for a week from now, two nights, most likely here. Sarah and four of the five Zoi are in frame - yes, there are four in the picture if you look closely.

More later.

Anyone try the Magma BBQ option? Interested in seeing how it mounts into one of the receivers.

Put in an order with Mike At Voyager about a month back, and now am waiting on a 459 Krawler, and tweaking the wish list on options. Hopefully the build will start at the beginning of the year. I will be getting the Air Conditioner option (Must have that here in Texas) so I'll try to post up what it looks like in a couple months.

Has anyone tried mounting a beefier wheel on the front of their teardrop?

I'm considering one of these: http://www.arkportablepower.com/pages/xo-trailer-jack

I'm building up to trying to drag my teardrop across the Rubicon or Dusy Ershim.
I wonder why they don't use larger diameter wheels and tires on it? In their video when winching the trailer through the sand it seems like more of a plow. I ordered the pneumatic jack wheel with my 510 and am hoping it'll stand up to winching the trailer through mud/sand/etc.

Any of you guys with a SoCal use it in wet conditions yet?

Just curious if anyone has any leak or water issues. I know trailers can be a pain sometimes. And I know of some other companies have had this issue before.

Living in the Southeast, we have had our Krawler in rain on multiple occasions... No Runs, No Drips... No Errors! Dry as can be without the need for warranty work or lawyers!
