Steel wheels for 2012 Tacoma

I'm actually looking for the same "18 hole" style wheels for my Tundra. I thought they'd be easier to find...like on Craigslist but I have yet to find them. I have a white tundra and I was thinking a dark non-metallic gray would look good.

Here are grey wheels against a silver (Jeep).

I'd like to do similar color and steel wheels on my 4Runner but may have to go with 17" Steelies?

I think I'm going to go with the Tacoma steelies painted dark gray. Im hoping these will look good with my silver paint.

They look exactly like the ones that came on my Tundra (under the hubcaps). My second set was the styled steel wheels. Came from Tire rack for $26 a piece. Looks like you can get the holies for about $55 online. Sure, it isn't a huge bargain, but....

Or dare to go red with/without a raised red letter tire.

Check your backspacing. A big benefit to me going from the OE 17" alloys to the 17" FJCs was the backspacing going from 5.25" to 4.5".
(mount surface to inner lip measurement)

Now that is good news, it's easier to buy a set of 17"FJ steelies for me than try and have someone measure the back spacing on a 16" steelie, I have a 2012 RC 4x4 and if the FJ steelies are in fact 4.5" back spacing, it gives a much better stance than my stock steelies,

Did you get the wheels? I have always thought that OEM grey would look good with the silver. Post up some pics when you do it.

Looks and a cheap way to go with 17" tires. I chose 17s after renting a Jeep Wrangler unlimited for a while, something about the stiffer sidewalls spoke to me. I'm running the E rated 245 75 R 17 BFG comp TAs at 40 psi and loving em.

I might be a little off but the 17" wheels are heavy in aluminum or steel. The 16's have a bigger weight difference in steel VS aluminum.

I haven't painted mine yet but I also vote for the darker "utility" gray.
