A red top Optima, like I have in the front now. I used to have a deep cycle, but I decided to run both red tops. The rear battery runs my rear winch, inverter, 2 12 volt plugs, and MV-50 compressor for if the CO2 runs out...

You mean the receiver? Its a Global Sat BU353. Works great, I use it with my laptop, and various bits of mapping software, Delorme, NatGeo, Google Earth, TopoFusion, etc.

Ok, I was thinking the thing on your roof was just an antenna and then you had the receiver in the cab. Thats a pretty neato set up. I'm looking at ditching the XJ in favor of a truck in the near future and want to have some sort of navigation system in it and this seems like a really affordable solution, and with my netbook that I already have it won't take up too much space.

Yep, definitely havent seen anything like those, I know the ones you are talking about. Still got a fair amount of work to do, but itll be ready in a couple weeks. Sheep wallow sounds fun now...
What's going on this weekend?

TruckLite gave me a set of their new 7" LED headlights and Chris Lewis and I are going to install them in his JK and try them out tomorrow after work. Other than that, the weekend is open due to our campng rain-out...

Not sure, we are probably just gonna lay low. We need to get our taxes done too... Tell Chris to find my toys and send me some pics!

What toys? He told me about the deathwobble...

We did our taxes the first week of Feb. I was surprised that we're getting money back.

Sorry I am new to this stuff, but all it takes is that reciever and the software into the laptop? I lookd on amazon and found this reciever for $35 and a quick search for topo maps there is a year subscription for $30. Again sorry for a newb question, but I figured it was just easier going straight to the source instead of hours of searching the web.

Pretty much thats it. I use my phone as a hotspot for internet based maps, and use the downloadable maps for when I dont have cell service. There are tons of things you can do with it though!

Am i seeing this right... Is that a tablet above the inclinometer/compass and some kind of tv screen stereo unit towards the bottom of the center dash..

I have a TFT monitor in the dash for my front and rear cameras (you can see the front of my camper on the screen in this shot, as I was towing it on the way to a camping trip), and the occasional DVD if im bored somewhere. Tablet? There is a laptop in the main portion of the photo... the blue thing above the inclinometer is a parking tag for my old job, hanging off the super cool 'lanechanger' mirror.
