I think it is killer Jason!

Yes your hammock looks like a ziplock bag, yes the bars look to long. But since I know you, I know it is not a finished deal. All these years I have seen ARB bars, custom bars, ect ect, and I have never seen or known anyone who set up their bumpers to hold a hammock! I think it is sweet! I got a very nice Hennessy hammock that would be killer with this set up, including with your plans for an awning.

Cheers brother!

PS, I didn't break your power arial today! :p
You did try to break my antennae though! Here are some pics from the day in the mountains looking for some good snow. My friends 60 series Cruiser has a chevy 5.3l in it. It is a sweet rig...

Those pole mounts could definitely double as fishing pole holders if the need arose! Nice creativity!

Cheers!

Man it is hard to tell Josh's whole 60 is covered in bed liner. He did a good job on that. And I am now sold on Procar seats.

Love your 80 Jason, hate the steering but maybe you have steering issues?

Not a great day, not a bad day but it was a good day and fun. Need more snow next time!

I think they will serve many purposes. I have already thought about the fishing pole holder, clothes line, canopy poles, and I can stick one pole in and mount the GoPro to it for awesome video! Hopefully Santa will bring me the GoPro for Xmas...

I have to say that looking at bumpers for the 80 series for over 10 years, that has to be one of the best engineered rear bumpers i have ever seen! You guys thought about everything. Welds look amazing and all the structural support and tie-ins are just amazing.

Truck as a whole looks great! Hope you are enjoying it.

Thank you very much. I am enjoying the Cruiser more every day I spend with it.

Wow Jason. This thing is looking sweet!! I love the stance. Those bumpers are sexy as well. Is Steve doing the majority of the fab work at CBI now? Really makes me miss Idaho and it really makes me want to have them build a killer set of bumpers for the Wagoneer if we ever make it home!!

I am sure you dont remember this, but about 5-6 years ago a buddy of mine and I stopped in at CBI back when you were at your old location. You took us back into the shop and showed us around the place. You spent at least an hour talking to us about stuff and showing us some of your work. I will never forget that. We both left there really impressed.

Good luck with the rest of the build!

Hey, thanks for the kind words. I kinda remember the tour, your name is Scott right? I know you have that sweet Waggy, I think we were on the trail once or twice together? Yeah Steve does all of the custom fabrication now, they have three guys that build the production stuff, a guy that does design and runs the plasma table, plus Drew. They have really taken off in the last year or so. I gotta say though I don't really miss it. I like tinkering with the Cruiser and having time to spend with my family, That's what it is all about.

Yep, thats me! I had an '81 Yota at the time and my buddy Ian had a V8 Bronco II. I was just getting in to the 4wd scene. You were just finishing up your buggy and you told me to be careful or mine would end up like that in a few years, haha. Good thing I got out of the rock crawling scene.

Thats cool that CBI is taking off like that. I hope it all works out for them. I think your comment is very respectable. Family is what it is all about. When it gets to the point where it stops being fun and impacting your family life, its time to find something else. I cant wait to see what else you do to this Cruiser! I will be following the build closely. :smiley_drive:

We will be back in Idaho Falls for Christmas, maybe I will see you "cruising" around.
