That is some sweet bar work right there. I like it!

Have fun in Moab, I won't be over in IF until after you are back so see you then!!

Now that, is impressive! The swing out is so nicely integrated...better than factory made or designed. I especially like the "double shear" design. Niiice!

Cheers!

Looks great! I think that front plate would get me pulled over in some towns around here... I like the propane tank carrier on the back, am I seeing it right that there's a lever to clamp and hold it down? Does it lock too?

Good stuff.

Sounds like an awesome trip! I hope you can give a detailed review on the tires when you get back, I'm thinking about picking a set up myself.
I will be sure to let everyone know about the tires. So far I am very happy with them. When I mounted them up on the beadlocks I did not balance them at all and I have no wobble or anything. I am really impressed with them so far, they ride great and are whisper quiet. :ylsmoke:

I wondered about the front plate when I put it on, it does not bolt on the bottom so if I need to I can bend it so it can be seen better, I think I will run it for now and see what happens. The propane tank does have a quick release fold down latch, I will try to get some better pictures of it for ya. It will lock, I just have to drill a hole for the lock to go thru, I have to do the same for the bolts on the Hi-Lift as well.

Thank you everyone!

It looks fantastic, really like how that rear bumper is laid out and swing out especially.

I am planing to fit a LP tank to mine as well so its nice to see some one has done it already. Gives me a few ideas.

No you did not steal my idea lol. I just had not seen it done much its nice to see it done so well on your bumper.

I'm actually going to try and make my Jerry can carrier to hold 3 cans and then get a Worthington Cylinders 6lbs LP tank 22" tall 5" diameter. I have not started on the swing outs yet, the table is a great idea as well.

I don't know how you would fit three cans and the LP tank? That would take some good packing skillz! LEt me know how it turns out.

T minus 4 hours till I blast off for Moab. This is going to be longest 1/2 of work in my life....

Well, it was a great trip! I have been going to Moab for 25+ years and I have to say I think October is the best time of year to be there. We cruised the trails with the windows down, no wind and perfect temperatures. Mid 60's during the day and just cold enough at night to have to stand around the fire.
So, my son and I left Idaho Falls on Thursday around noon, we had about 4" of snow on the ground, but I drive a Cruiser, no worries here, it snowed off and on until we were on the south side of solder pass. We made great time and got to Moab about 6:30. The first night we stayed at the Motel 6 since my Dad would not be in until around 11:00 on Friday. We met up with my friend Matt who I have known and wheeled with since high school, Matt has done a fair bit of rock crawling in his life, competed in King of the Hammers a few times and is an all-around hell of a good guy. We met Matt, his girlfriend and her son at Pasta Jay's in Moab, if you are looking for some tasty Italian Food, this is the place. We had a few beers, some good food and headed back to the Motel 6. We decided it would be a nice night for a little hot tubing so we grabbed some beers and suited up. As soon as I stepped outside I could smell the chlorine from the pool/hot tub, someone had given it a serious dose of the stuff. It was so bad we couldn't turn on the jets; needless to say we didn't hang out long and called it an early night.
Friday morning we started up the Moab Rim Trail, keep in mind this is my first real wheelin' trip in the Cruiser. Needless to say the Cruiser performed flawless and we were to the top in less than an hour, we continued on to the top of the sand dunes and had to turn around to pick up my father. We arrived back in to Moab unscathed and picked up my dad and his girlfriend at the Slick Rock Campground. This would be base camp for the next few days. My dad has a nice little camp trailer he said my son and I could stay in, but my son insisted we sleep in the cruiser. That's my boy! Anyway, we hit Hell's Revenge that afternoon and did Behind the Rocks on Saturday, all the time having a wonderful experience and not worrying about the Cruiser one bit.
My Cruiser even has the factory head gasket still, oh my, oh my. We took off from Moab Sunday around 11:00 and returned home about 7:00. The cruiser got just shy of 15 mpg the whole 1000 miles and that was keeping it between 72 and 75 mph on the highway. I know, all on the factory head gasket! It's a time bomb, don't drive it everyone says, pfft what is the fun in that! Oh, and I have not done the PHH either! Oh my, how did the Cruiser ever survive the trip! Don't believe all the hype on these Cruiser's, they are great rigs that are completely at home a thousand miles from home. Get out and enjoy them! OK, on with the pics. My dad is a professional photographer so after he sends me all his super-duper pics I will post them up, but for now the crappy cell pics. Enjoy!

Pasta Jay's we eat here at least once a trip. It is a staple.

MMMMMMM Beer!

15 MPG average for the trip, not bad for a 6K pound rig.

I have to admit these tires kick ***! They are great on the highway and not once did I ***** about them on the trial. Had them down to 10 psi the whole time on the trail and they hooked up great. I am sold on them!

More from way back on the Rim Trail, this is the top of the sand dunes.

The CBI bumpers came out awesome for your cruiser, I'll be interested to see if they start sellling/promoting them a little more in the Cruiser community?
