I have been waiting for the next installment on this, hopefully you get some of that ever elusive "free time" to do some more!!

You'd have even more room and easier post accessibility with a side post battery.

Is there enough room to get the battery out with the bed mounted?

The original design for the battery tray (which luckily still works) you undo the welded on ratchet strap and the battery slides off the tray towards the back. Your right however about accessing the battery posts that may make it more difficult. Time will tell

Where did you get your CAD model of the Tacoma? I'm doing some of my own design work and it would be really helpful to have that.

Your flatbed and camper are well designed and executed. Your dedication to your projects and the time planning really shows!
