Thoughts on the Ford V-10

Talked to a guy running a shuttle service from NW Georgia to the airport. All they have are V10 E350; the particular van he was driving had 860,000 miles and was on it's 2nd engine. First engine lasted 650,000 miles. He would not drive anything else.

E350 4x4 21' RV w/5.4 Triton

I've got the tiny 5.4 Triton in my loaded unit. It's light on power for sure but it does get the job done even up huge grades. The cars behind me might tell you another story. Anyway just for comparison I get 6-8 miles per gallon. I'm sure it's so bad because I'm required to drive with a heavy foot to keep up. Maybe a V-10 swap is in my future. Isn't there a company, it's like JP or JL or something Customs that specializes in Econoline engines. Anyone know who I'm talking about.
