Does anyone have any pictures or videos of these campers on full size trucks with 8ft beds? What are the approximate weights of an 8 ft model fully outfitted? Can they be outfitted with indoor amd outdoor shower, AC etc?

Here is an 8’ on a f150. Customer just mounted it yesterday. They are going full time. Final weight depends on many factors like size of water tank, amount of cabinetry etc. Empty the 8’ are just around 900lb . my personal 6.5 is coming in at 1100lb outfitted . I would guess the 8’ should be around 1300lb .
a true shower set up inside is always tricky in slide in camper . We use a geyser ” shower” in ours and love it.

Looks great! What’s the roof rack situation on that one?

Just out of curiosity, which pickup has the largest bed vs cab height difference? There is a huge amount of cab clearance on that F150.

with the newest batch of campers we have reduced the gap by 3”. This was initiated about 6 months ago when we reviewed everything. at this point there are roughly 80 units on the road with some people being full time . None of them mentioned anything about any issues.
I have one of the gen 1 campers for my 2021 f150. After several thousand kilometres with it I can tell you that there are no noise issues!

with the new gen2 campers there should only be a space of roughly 2-3” on Ford trucks and maybe 4-5” on the dodge. So far, 99% of our customers are either using a f150 or f350.

the reduction of the space also increases the head room in the cab over bed area.

as always, we appreciate any input! If it makes sense, we will implement changes and improvement.

Andreas,

It was a pleasure meeting you at Overland Expo West 2022 in Flagstaff. I enjoyed our chat, and loved the Tacoma/T.C. Black Bear 7’ build by Bear Adventure Vehicles. A quick question –

I have noticed in pictures that you can close the tailgate on a Ford Super Duty 6.75’ with a T.C. 7700 camper shell mounted with no problem. My question is, can the same camper be mounted on an F150 6.5’ bed, and still allow you to close the tailgate?

Thanks in advance.

Hey!

In Theory you should be able to close it... Better take measurements on the actual truck. If not, all of our builders are able to "cut" down the overall length during the assembly process to fit your needs.

Cheers

These things look incredible. Thinking of one for my double cab Tundra.

Question... would there be any way to attach an RV style 5000BTU air conditioner on the roof? Is this wired to accept generator/shore power input?

Not something I'd use all that much, but would like the option, especially for the desert when I'm out photographing monsoon. (and working in in camper during day)

Thanks.

The roof is load baering and can easily handle a A/C unit. Although, I could see running into space issues if you also like lots of Solar and skylights.

Awesome. Are these wired in such a way as to receive generator power or shore power?

Thanks.
