About time for an update....
Last I wrote, the body was in the shop to repair all the rust. Unfortunately the owner of the shop was pressed for money and was in collection by the Swedish Governments collection agency. He was blackmailing and screwing me! I felt something was screwy and started to record our conversations (legally). He wanted $3500 dollars for a really bad patch job the size of a silver dollar and the removal of the driver's side floor. He also started sanding the body of paint and removed rust protection from the inside of the wheel wells, all of which he did on his own without getting my OK.
When he started getting angry that I wouldn't pay and questioned his work I told him he had two choices. Either he release my car body without charging me a cent or I could give all the recordings to the Police.... He opted for the first option.
I took the body back to the garage and there it has been untouched since. I lost all energy.
About a month ago the landlord for the garage I have been renting informed me that he had a hard time trying to find someone to rent the rest of the building since he couldn't rent the building together as a whole. I understand his position and agreed to move out before the end of August.
This actually is really good as it forces me to find a solution and fast. Hobby garages are quit expensive here in Stockholm so finding a new one right now really isn't appealing. Selling of the my project isn't an option either! So Plan B was to find a new truck in mint to near mint condition!
After scouring the web for just over a week I found the perfect solution this past weekend! A Btgb 921. Don't Google that though, you'll find sites about Black Teen Gang Banging!
The Btgb 921 is the Swedish Military's name for the firetruck version of my first vehicle. It is also the same vehicle that my PTO driven trailer was made for! YATZEE!!! They are hard to come-by and even harder to find in any decent working condition. This one is a crewcab with a short truck bed, original 2000kg winch and waterpump equipment.
I paid for it this past Monday and loaded it on a trailer for a 7hr trip to the south of Sweden where it is right now. My friend Hans is giving it a good look over and fixing the small amounts of rust before he drives her back up to Stockholm in 2 weeks.
As far as the status of my original renovation of truck and MY PTO trailer this is how they look and work right now.
