Those were nice patrol cars until the CV joints go bad. Front wheel drive doesn't hold up well on a patrol car.

In 1984 I spec'd out and ordered one of the first mid-sized Ford Thunderbirds with the 302 engine in it. It was charcoal grey metallic, with gray and black interior, and the electronic dash. Almost everything on it was digital, which was a very big deal back then. That car would move, and was so quiet inside and smooth riding, I managed to get a speeding ticket the first two weeks I had it.

But, the first time we all went to the river for a cookout and some tubing, and I couldn't get across a little bit of water to the sandbar we wanted to be on, I traded it in on a brand new Toyota 4x4 pickup, after only owning it for 11 months. Every now and then I wish I still had that car, but I had trucks before and trucks ever since, so I guess I'm a truck kind of guy!

My uncle had one of those T-Birds, loved it. And thats another car you never see anymore, the Turbo Coupes! Or even the SC's.

I have a bunch of Yakima attachments and was wondering what kind of mounts it would take to attach the bars to that rack. Did you guys manufacture those?

Also, I see the Rigid LED work lights on the sides. Would one of those on the side of an ambulance be enough to light a decent area, or would you recommend two of them?

Oh yeah, very cool!
I see bolts for the load bar mounts, vs nuts(fastener heads sticking inside track and threads extending out away from van). Are you just drilling into the rack where needed?
Any provision for installing semi-captured fasteners like Front Runner does?;

Yes, we made the plates that the load bars attach to. We have single & double nut inserts that slide into the extrusion so you can bolt stuff down anywhere. I'll try to get some pics of these lights in action. Here are the specs:

The inserts slide into the extrusion and the 1/4-20 bolts lock it on place.

Making a mess pulling this 6.0! These ambulances are always such a mystery. It's here for a 4" 4x4 swap plus 6.0 treatment. Turns out the engine was replaced ~1k ago. Throwing an injector code for #3, the plug in the head is broken. No receipts for the injectors being replaced, just the long block. So, out it comes for injectors.

And last but not least, the one platform that I'll most likely be working with in the future. These things are cool! I know they're not the best looking but I think we can fix that with some decent rubber under them! I have some ideas, should be pretty straight forward. Hope to pick up a donor by the end of the year so we can cut it up.

Not a huge fan of the Nissan NV in stock form, but maybe some UJOR mods will improve it. Here's one from Instagram for inspiration.

A big Thank You to Chris for working with DPtuner to come up with the van tunes. I ordered the Ifinity with 60hp mountain, 80hp daily and egt cable.
