How do you deal with the mismatch bolt pattern on the top of the fender under the hood? Isn't the radiator mount different as well? Or do you just weld in all the subframe components from a doner 2008+?

We make a spacer between the top of the fender and the inner fender support, another spacer/relocation plate for the hood latch.

V4s new wheels have arrived, stoked! I've been drooling over these for quite a while, my decision to go down to 37s and a 17" wheel sealed the deal. I like that they're forged, USA made, small company like me, and they're just plain gorgeous.

SoCal 7.3 went under the knife Friday, axle went in today, still a lot to do! Should have her sitting on all 4s Wednesday. Hopefully we'll have the transmission back too so we can get the shafts. OBA, some custom bumper work, rear gears & locker, finish the front clip, Rhino Lining, looking forward to the final product.

Real deal bead locks. They're made by Innov8 racing.

Yea buddy!

Kind of curious about the manufacture of those rims. Are they forged, or machined from a forged billet? There's a difference. It's mostly professional curiosity because I repair a lot of forging dies for Alcoa Aluminum that make truck and auto wheels and some aircraft as well. I have a set of truck dies in my shop right now. I only recall a few manufactures in the US actually forging rims, Alcoa Aluminum and Keiser Aluminum being the top two that come to mind.

Are you keeping them gold or painting them purple? :)

Hmmm, think I'll stay gold!

Hehe, thanks! I actually checked them out this morning. No real info of the type I was looking for but think I found the give-away in a photo on the..contact page? Don't remember for sure but I think the answer was there regardless..

Those are some nice looking wheels but hoooo-boy spendy!

Given the color, do you have something super secret going on for a new paint job for this rig?

Yea, not cheap! No color change. Green & gold!

Be interested to see that. I have "zero" fashion sense when it comes to color coordination or artistic creativity, so I have to be able to see things. I can't really visualize.

I do know that of all the vans you've done I like this flatbed extended cab the best. Damn thing just rocks all the way around, in camper mode or naked, it's got "it".

Yea they'll stand out a bit. I had planned to do the coil overs in black/gold too but the time line & cost is too much right now. I need to get this rig back on the road so we can test it all before Moab. Nothing like being down to the wire (as usual)

B190 is here! Ready to transform this marshmallow. These rigs are the most dramatic difference before/after.
