any details on the floating airbags? Is this new OJOR tech?

Pretty simple really. I'll post a pic. Basically, the airbag isn't attached at the bottom, so it rests on a pad @ ride height. When the suspension droops out, there's no restriction from the bag.

[FONT=&quot]Chris, have you ever had any problems or heard of any bad points, noises, etc. to removing the Spare tire mount/Rear frame cross member? (on a Regular body not an EB, and with a heavy steel rear bumper) I know you make a cross member, why did you start making it?

The EB vans have the spare tire x-member as well as another support further forward. In order to make the skid larger, I remove that forward x-member and weld the new one in the frame right where it starts to bend for axle clearance. There's a good pic further back in my posts. As long as the skid & receiver are in place, there's no issue with noise or stress.

I'm actually pulling the rear skid off my van this week to re coat the supports, and I plan to make some changes & get the RB van skid into production.

Sounds awesome, I look forward to it (for the RB)!

I know LOTS of guys that cut the cross member out but I just wondered if anyone has seen (or admits to) noises or frame twist, etc.

As always, THANKS Chris!

Nice work Chris! If I put my hand over the extended portion of the rear, I can imagine what mine will look like eventually.

Spent yesterday working on Vanaconda, pulling parts to get re coated, etc. Pulled the rear bumper, airbags & rear skid system. I'll be mocking up a new rear skid for the RB vans, it's a little more complicated than the EB's!

Less than a month till expo!

Good day at the shop! Started working on this 2010 E350 5.4, and I took a ton of measurements for the before/after. I can tell you one thing already..... the turning radius of Supervan2.0 is only 1 foot wider than this van! Pretty good 1 think.
