UJOR Build Thread

Hi Chris.

I envy your vans  they are awesome..
I have a rookie question about transfer case. Do they have donor limitations like the axels?? Does it matters if its a NV271D or NV271F year and stuff like that.

Thanks.

Hey Chris, looks like V7 could use some headlights you may already have.....hint hint :)

Scott

Here she is! More goodies will be added to the roof rack as we prepare for the Overland Expo.

Drives like a dream, super excited. We're working on a DeQuig job and I had to drive it yesterday to the body shop and holy crap was it all over the road. Felt like the front & rear weren't even connected. I'm ready for V7 to give some demo rides!

V7 is awesome Chris, love the chateau's.
Here is a tip, at some point the chateau pinstripes didn't quite fit the look of my van anymore. As I had put it, "it's the last of the gayness".
I ordered this 3/4" matte black vinyl tape and went right over the top of them. There was enough on the roll to practice a few times and have a ton left over. If you do it make sure to hit it with some rubbing alcohol, most importantly in the jambs where it is the dirtiest.

There are 2 different input spline counts for the 271's, 31 and 34.

Yes, very good idea! Sorry I've slacked on them.

Thanks! And thanks for spotting it, the only reason I was able to snag it.

What did I tell you? ;) or :(

We're good, just got off the phone with them. Have a contact now, asked some questions about how they work/order/build and I'll be putting in a big PO soon to lower the lead times.

Put you on the list?!?!?

Well that's good to hear!
Will you be doing any data testing with SSBC vs RSC (kind of like the video you did on the airstrip with V5--before I headed out your way to visit)?

Very controversial wheels here..... going on a van that we're building right now that is headed to a hunting camp in KS. The entire van will be wrapped in the same pattern.
